They get the job done

If you are used to the high density of most good sponges, these will disappoint. Nonetheless, they are inexpensive and will clean dishes. I'll use them till they are gone and look for a better alternative. Or perhaps not - the low density means they drain more quickly when put up properly. My sponges follow a life pattern - clean dishes, clean sink, clean bathtub, clean toilet, garbage. These do the job. Someone here noted that the sponge falls apart after several weeks. What person uses a sponge for several weeks? The life cycle of my sponges covers about one week. The best sponge (those which drain slowly) will be teaming with bacteria at one week. Never eat at that persons house. Finding these useful for finishing furniture. They do not decompose or bleed color when used with polyurethane. Single use only of course. I cut them in half and it costs roughly a quarter with each use. Haven't tried them yet with stain.

I've seen lots of ideas over the years on how to ditch the sponge when it comes to cleaning. The problem is, none of those ideas work as well as a sponge. The problem is essentially that it is impossible to fully clean a sponge, so bacteria will build up. In fact, if you use a sponge to clean your dishes once, it will be full of bacteria within 24 hours. It's kind of gross if you think about it, but I already have a method of beating that problem that comes from too many years in the food service industry. You clean, and then you sanitize. I use the sponge to clean because nothing cleans better. Then, once the surface is clean, I'll use a sanitizing wipe to sanitize it. I usually use a sponge for a week in the kitchen. Then, it gets repurposed as a bathroom and floor cleaner for week two. Yeah, I'm kind of anal retentive about cleaning the high-use parts of my kitchen as well as behind the toilet by hand, and that does a quick number on one of these sponges. By that time, it's ready for the trash. It's good to find these in a bulk supply. Prior to Amazon, I was always buying my sponges in two packs. 24 of them will last me about six months, as I tend to bring out a new one weekly.

Have bought multiple sets of these now. Sturdy and cleans dishes well. Nice price for the number of sponges you get.

I have bought these before and they worked really well, I like that they dry out quickly and don't smell gross and moldy like other normal sponges, but the new pack I just bought are much cheaper quality, The sponge is falling apart after three days, the top green sponge is coming apart off of the yellow part. This never happened before on any other the other older sponges I bought. They must be using a different adhesive or sponge material to save on costs. I have used up two in the last week because they keep falling apart. Now I'm holding on to the separated pieces trying to do my dishes and it's very annoying. I hope it's just a fluke and the rest of the sponges work. It really makes me sad; I liked these sponges so much before, they WERE perfect.

These are good cleaning sponges. Work well on sponge, and scourer side. Value for money have and will buy again.
