13579 Fluted Cake Maker

We were all so excited waiting for this to arrive and it has not disappointed! I think we've used it everyday. My 11 year-old son convinced his 19 year-old brother to take him to the store where he spent almost $100 on cake mixes. Definitely something he can use safely, successfully, unsupervised. Every mix he's tried so far has been amazing, including gluten free and brownies. He's been using non-stop spray, placed the baker on a cooking sheet to prevent mess from spillage and is sure to unplug between batches. The cakes are so detailed and beautiful, about the size of a cake donut. We're going to get a lot of use from this, keep all the kids happy when bored over the summer.

Wonderful little maker. Got it to use with my toddler, who loves it! Haven't tried any of the recipes in the booklet, but used a simple chocolate cake mix, threw in some blueberries, and ... perfect. One cake mix made 15 little cakes in about the same time it would have taken to bake a full cake. We used a timer (fun for the toddler and easier for him to wait)but I could tell when they were done by the cooked cake smell. Once you smell that, just pop them out. Excellent purchase, and good price.

This machine is really great! It works great with any cake I have tried so far. I have baked cakes form the box 3 times now and each time they have come out great. I also did a recipe form scratch, its a strawberry pound cake. The cakes do come out very done. Not burnt, but brown. You have to be careful to check the inside so that they are done. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is because the two flower shaped cakes don't cook as well. They make the box cakes ok, but they come out even more well done then the bunt cakes. That little hole in the middle of the cakes really help to cook the inside. The pound cake didn't even work in the flower molds, it took so long to cook in the flower mold that the outside would burn. BUT I still really recommend this machine very highly. Out of a box cake mix you get about 13-16 cakes and it only takes about 4 minuets for the little cakes to bake!

I don't like the machine because it burn the cakes. I'm sorry. Cakes were burn in few minutes and it didn't made inside

I have used two of the recipes in the instruction booklet and both times, the cakes didn't turn out well. The crust was too hard (chocolate cakes) or it was burnt (lemon cakes). I even tried cutting the bake time down to 5 minutes. I guess, the little pans are just getting way too hot. After reading the other reviews, I wonder if my unit is defective since nobody else seems to have that problem. Or maybe it's because I am using the recipes in the booklet? The idea behind the cake maker is great. It just didn't work for me as advertised. That's why I gave it two stars.

I just bought this cake machine and We used for the first time today. Excellent work! The chocolate cake was ready in five minutes. It's so simple to use and the kids loved the design of the cakes.
