Bike Seat

2nd Update: I've been using this seat on my backup bicycle for almost 4 years. Being my backup bike, it doesn't get ridden as much as my primary, but my best estimate is that I've put about 1,500 miles on this seat. So after four years and around 1,500 miles, this seat is showing it's age. The seams are stretching in a couple of places, and there are a couple of small tears - at least one of which is probably my fault. I'll probably be replacing this one around the end of the year (November/December 2021). I think I've gotten my money's worth out of it, although I hope it would have lasted more than 1,500 miles if it hadn't been sitting in my utility shed out back for four years. ----------------------------------------------------------- (original review) I waited to write a review until I had enough time to really see how well this bicycle seat would work out - and I really like it! It is my favorite bicycle seat, and I have tried at least five or six different seats. The longer I use this seat, the better I like it. It is very comfortable, to the point that I no longer wear padded bicycle shorts if I'm doing a ride of less than 12-15 miles! And before I purchased this seat, I used to wear padded bike shorts on EVERY ride. I've tried five or six seats - in the price range of $10 to $60 - and this one is easily my favorite and the most comfortable. I've had it for about seven months, I haven't put lots of miles on it, but it still looks like new - so I don't expect durability to be an issue. My average ride is about 10 miles or so, but I have done as much as 23 miles in less than two hours with this seat, and still comfortable. UPDATE: I've had this seat for over a year now, and I have ridden hundreds more miles, and the seat is holding up well. Except for one scratch (my fault) it still looks new. And it's still just as comfortable!

This saddle is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for" not always being true. I love this saddle. I started road biking several months ago and eventually worked up to riding 25-30 miles per day on regular basis; with the longest ride being 50+ miles so far. In a quest for a comfortable saddle for long rides, I have tried several high-end brands in various styles and configurations. Specifically - Specialized and Fizik. I tried all three main styles with Fizik (Arione, Antares, and Aliante) as well as several Specialized models. All of them were well above $100 - but I wanted a saddle that would not leave me sore after a long ride. Most of them felt ok for the first few miles, but around 5-7 mile mark is when you really start feeling pressure points and it gets painful by mile 10 - 15. Based on reviews, I ordered this seat and I was blown away how comfortable it is! I know that finding a perfect saddle is a very personal thing and is subjective, but I encourage you to try this saddle and you may be very pleasantly surprised as I was. It has just the right amount of padding for me, great geometry (no issues pedaling and no pressure spots)... and the fact that it is under $15 is fantastic. Hope it lasts a long time, and would definitely buy it again if it wears out. I wanted to share my experience and encourage an excellent product for a great price.

Day 3 and now saying will be another day . not sure why amazon is slipping with prime account. Tracking not even working to see status of item . showed up today. Install was easy didnt use bracket since one on bike bicer and lighter. Installed on new mid drive evike build. Test ride 8.2 miles and saddle super comfy . it was missing rain cover in pic . we shall see how it holds up but for cost was worth buy and better than stock saddle.

I didn't expect a lot from a seat at this price but I was going on a 150 mile bike ride and my stock gel seat didn't have any cutouts. (which can be helpful for male riders) I decided on this seat based on some reviews, the price and the fact that the colors matched my black and silver bike very well. I was not disappointed. I was willing to do the ride with the stock seat if this one wasn't an upgrade. The stock Bontrager seat did have almost as much cushion and was gel but the design of this seat seemed better to me. It also seemed like it might handle rain a bit better. I installed the seat and went with it. I did have to adjust the position a few times on my training rides. I mounted it way too far forward at first. Eventually, I had it tuned in. The ride was tough. My butt hurt. There isn't a seat that you can buy that will make it not hurt on a 150-mile ride. That being said, it worked well with my bike shorts and was about as comfortable as possible. Not only that, I didn't spend much on it. It was great in the rain. It wiped off very easily. My stock seat is wrapped in plastic in the garage in case I ever need it again.

Paired this with my gravel bike - super comfortable! I have a wider “seat measurement” and this seat fits! Love that the middle reduces pressure on “sensitive” areas. I am not a little or lightweight rider so it distributes my weight evenly. Easy to put on my bike myself. Would buy another if needed.

The seat met expectations for comfort and support. My pelvis bones sit just slightly wider than my previous road bike race level seat and thus put a great deal of pressure on my perineum area. This made rides over over 15 miles somewhat unbearable, and anything over 30 miles nearly impossible. This seat is roughly 2cm wider in the rear and the relief in the center took virtually all pressure off my bum. It allowed me to stay in the drive phase (vigorous 17-18mph avg) for a longer period, 90 minutes, and still felt comfortable. My only complaint is that it was shipped in a single layer vinyl shipping bag with no protective wrap. Thus when it arrived it had a 3/16" long cut (as shown in picture) on an edge surface, most likely occurring in shipment. Clearly this cut will grow over time making this saddle a one season use at best. If it was better protected in shipping, such as wrapped in bubble wrap prior to bagging it would have arrived fine. I would have complained and sent off for a replacement but the seller was currently out of stock and had no predicted restock date. If anything I should get a small credit towards my account for their lack of better packaging. 5 star for saddle, 1 star for packing.

I bought this for comfort and dynamics for a long 1000 miles bikepacking trip in Spain. The seat was great, comfortable, kept its shape and its function very well after some 8hrs/day sitting on it for over 5 weeks. The only thing that makes me drop one star is that about 20 minutes in trying it out, the mount broke and no amount of tightening would help. I ended up switching the mount with the one of my former seat, and it worked wonders. So easy fix, but still a bit of a bummer. In essence, if you’re reading this, you should buy it.

è veramente morbida. Sebbene questa considerazione fosse già contenuta all'interno di altre recensioni, pensavo fosse un pochino esagerata, ma invece mi ricredo: è veramente morbida, da "passeggio". Purtroppo la sua forma ambisce al farla somigliare ad una sella "da gara" e ciò forse un pochino la penalizza, dato che per tale utilizzo probabilmente risulterebbe essere troppo poco stabile, ma rimane estremamente comoda. Di fatto, non ha parti rigide se non nel fondo. Sia la parte superiore che ai lati è tutta in morbido gel, senza scomodi bordi, angoli rigidi, cuciture sporgenti o simili. L'apertura centrale la rende sicuramente più fresca e "leggera". A mio avviso già solo lei ti permette di macinare molti ma molti più km senza fastidi: basta avere l'assetto corretto del manubrio. Acquisto azzeccatissimo ? forse si. Vedremo se la qualità dei materiali con il tempo lo confermeranno. UPDATE del 30 Agosto 2022: ho cominciato a sistemare una city bike. Purtroppo la sella da me acquistata (e montata su una MTB da battaglia) è rovinata, causa mia incuria (lasciata all'aperto e bici caduta più volte contro altre bici), ma mi ci sono trovato talmente bene che ne ho acquistata un'altra identica per questa nuova bici !! ed ora arriva anche con coprisella...e l'ho beccata pure in sconto 20%... ottima per avere comodità senza rinunciare ad un look ..."racing" :-D

Lo compré para sustituir el pequeño y duro asiento que traía la BTT 29" de mi sobrino de 14 años. Este asiento me ha sorprendido gratamente: está generosamente relleno de gel (pero no es pesado), es más amplio y cómodo que la mayoría de asientos y tiene buen aspecto (p.ej. el agarre del forro está mejor rematado que el mio, comprado en Alemania por 40€ y que tuve que reforzar con pegamento pues se salía de las grapas), tanto que he comprado otro para mí. No sé cuánto durará ni cómo se desgastará, pero por el precio que tiene...!!

As with any bike seat you have to get adjusted to it. Not a bad fit though

Have used this seat for several rides now and I can finely do a review. Surprisingly for the money it's good. Obviously it's not going to suit everyone but works fine for me. A big improvement over original saddle. Definitely feeling the benefits over a long ride. Though I'm still wearing the padded undershorts for now!
