An excellent professional travel backpack
I use a backpack every day for work and wanted to upgrade to a new one. This is a great backpack. it is quite large and has a ton of space. It even has room for clothes if you want to bring stuff for a short overnight. The one downside is that there is not real water bottle pocket. You can potentially use one of the side pockets but it is really small and will not hold a normal size bottle.

Best travel backpack I have had
I love Briggs and Riley and this is my 6th price of luggage from the brand. I travel every week and this backpack made packing easier because of the extra space it gives me when trying to only take my carryon and personal item. I can get 2 medium packing cubes or two pairs of shoes in the travel compartment as well as carry all my work stuff (laptop, iPad, files, etc). As always built to last wuth a great warranty as well.

Open flap on front with no way to secure
Decent backpack and great quality. But one big deal breaker is the storage compartment on front with no way to zip or secure. Too easy for travel docs, tablets, etc to fall out. Better to get the B&R @work backpack model.

Nice build quality; overall overpriced
Very good build quality as with the brands other products. Lots of compartments that make sense for traveling. Looks sleek and pairs well with the brands rolling suitcases. Overall though, price is too high for a backpack when compared to competing brands.

Too expensive for what you get
Very expensive for what you get...inside slots are small and front pouch has no way to close and secure

Most poorly designed pack at this pricepoint
Durable, comfortable straps, good size, hooded front pocket has no snap, zipper or velcro.... pops open constantly and items fall out, inredibly poor design on a $300.00+ bag. Get the one with zipper on front pocket, not this one. Some other features missing that should be standard on inside. Overall poorly designed compared to other 30l similar price bags in same category such as Osprey, REI, Timbuk2, AER, Peak Design, Mystery Ranch, and even Patagonia or Tumi. Does anyone want items falling out of pocket you cant even secure while pack is on your back? The pocket becomes unusable. Very disappointed and return policy terrible with Briggs n Riley. Won't buy this brand again.

We own few B&R products this backpack seems to be perfect for 1 night travel trip. A bit soft the material but the compartments are well designed

From a 30+ year owner of many Briggs & Riley luggage pieces — Yes, this backpack is worth the money for business travel and work commuting. Expensive, but all B&R luggage is expensive. High quality, well made and rugged luggage is not inexpensive. This backpack is compact, but will hold a lot, to the point of allowing you to over pack if you’re not paying attention.plenty of sections to divide and organize items. Access to the sections is easy. Padding for the back is very good and the comfort is great. There is no cross strap in the front, but not really needed IMO.

Awesome also for one night biz trip

I bought this as I liked the idea of it unfolding the whole way like luggage, rather than digging to the bottom like a normal rucksack. Unfortunately, the luggage compartment is smaller than it looks. I couldn't fit my toiletery bag in there, nor spare of shoes/trainers. Another review says it can hold 3 days worth of clothes?! If you're only wearing swimming trunks each day, maybe. Good news is I did buy another B&R backpack (cargo) as I'm always impressed by their bags.
