More Modern, But Wonderfully Observed
I grew up on Jill Murphy's books and am now reading them to my child, who also adores them. I was so pleased to discover a new one written in 2020 and delighted to find its a hit with my daughter who asks for it again and again. It is more modern than the others -- it would suit those whose children go to nursery and have working mothers -- but many of the details surround that ecco perfectly with our lives and our child can relate to them as well. Like all her books, it has beautifully observed details ("and then he took off the labels"). This one incorporates many of the things which my child finds difficult at nursery ("someone else got the red cup") which she finds gripping as she clearly is processing a lot of these feelings through the book (and realising that she is not alone in having them). I highly reccomend it for parents who have a child adjusting to nursery and experiencing some of the challenges related to that. I'm so pleased that Jill Murphy is still on top form!

Story Book
I loved this book as a child when growing up. I hoped my daughter would to, she does seem to like the size and the big picture as. The quality is great, I have no complaints.
