Blazing Fast, Reliable, and Built to Last!
The SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB PCIe NVMe Gen4 M.2 drive has been an outstanding SSD these last few years. It has delivered exceptional performance for both casual and demanding use. Built on SK hynix’s cutting-edge 176-layer NAND technology, it stands out for its incredible read and write speeds. These speeds make it an excellent choice for gamers, content creators, and professionals who require lightning-fast data access and multitasking capabilities. One of the most impressive aspects of the Platinum P41 is its reliability. With an impressive endurance rating of 1,200 TBW (terabytes written) and a 5-year warranty, it offers peace of mind for long-term use. SK hynix’s focus on thermal management is evident, as the drive stays remarkably cool under load. The drive also excels in real-world scenarios, making it perfect for large file transfers, 4K video editing, and gaming, where reduced loading times truly shine. The inclusion of software tools like SK hynix's "Easy Kit" further enhances the user experience, offering straightforward drive management and firmware updates. Overall, it has been my experience that the Platinum P41 blends top-tier performance, durability, and value in a single package. Whether you're upgrading your gaming rig or boosting the performance of a workstation, this SSD is a worthwhile investment that won’t disappoint. So far - I've bought two of these - & I'm getting a third soon. [The 1TB version are also highly reliable - I have a few of those in some laptops.]

Fast performance and simple installation
Installation was straightforward, and the drive was immediately recognized by my system. Boot times and file transfers are noticeably faster, and it has stayed cool during heavy use.

Wholly cheat!! It's fast and Cheep!!
It's fast, man. My PC boots from psu off to screen on it like 13-14 sec. It's got that D-ram. And its super CHEAP for a DRAM cache gen 4 SSD. Ot it was, that was s like 5-6.weeks ago. Good luck! SK Hynix is possibly the biggest memory chip manufacturer in the world. Some of the highest quality and fastest ram sticks ever produced were with SK Hynix chips. They were a commercial supplier for manufacturers, and now are selling direct to consumers. Crucial, Samsung and Hynix are the big three high quality chip brands. Its.cheaper and probably made with exact same DRAM cache as that WD or that Kingston or that Teamgroup or that Lexar...

Might be the perfect 2TB ssd
Fantastic SSD. made by the same company that makes the actual nand chips so it has to be good. Exceeds stated performance, and is cheaper than many ssds of the same capacity. I use these in my laptop, desktop, and server, and have never had any issues. Heat sink is recommended, but it is able to sustain good speeds without! Fits anywhere an NVMe M.2 should. Will buy more when chip shortages go down. The p51 is out (gen5 version) but is probably not worth it for 90% of people.

More than ample 2TB SSD storage capacity, a snap to install, for a fair price too!
More than ample 2TB SSD storage capacity, a simple snap to install, for a fair price too! Hynix has been making reliable, and professional PC memory cards since the early 80's. I know this statement to be true, because I'm still using some of their Hynix memory cards made in the 80's to run some of our old IT legacy Windows XP computers at my work and on the job everyday... Hynix makes some excellent SSD storage cards as well. I bought one of their high performance SSD cards earlier this month and I put it straight into my HP Omen 16 gaming PC at home, with no problems this SSD card works like a charm and read/write access speeds are indeed much faster today than any other SSD card that I've bought here on Amazon in the past year or two... So, if you want an extremely fast and reliable SSD card, then buy a Hynix brand SSD card and you won't ever be sorry that you did... I'm not sorry that I did at all! Cheers, RMT - 11/12/2023.

Perfect For PS5
Great fast NVME for a PS5. After hours of reviews & research I found this was an excellent combo from a very reputable microchip company in Asia, and ordered the Hynix P41 2TB NVME & their heatsink without hesitation. Hynix mas been making high-end memory chips for top-notch brand-name RAM stick companies for decades. Remove a RAM heatsink, and you'll quite often see Hynix written on the microchips. If you buy the Hynix NVME heatsink for PS% it says, "Pair with Hynix P41 NVME for PS5." However, this P41 NVME doesn't advertise strongly for PS5 use yet by itself. My PS5 recognized, approved, and formatted this NVME after installation. This NVME actually exceeds the PS5's requirements for add-on storage, and transferring the few large ~200GB games already installed from the primary storage to this was lightning fast. Also, the MTBF of the 2TB P41 is higher than all the other NVMEs I was looking at... meaning it should last 10+ years depending on usage. There are other very good NVMEs out there for the PS5 undoubtedly... but after all my research and initial experience... this NVME is top-tier for the PS5, and PCs too.

fast but.....
This drive is fast, very fast, but i would not recommend it if your using it for a laptop. I had to upgrade the wd pcie 4.0 nvme drive that came in an hp laptop i just bought because i filled the old one up almost immediately. One of my main criteria was efficiency as the battery life in the laptop is abismal to say the least. After reading expert reviews and tests online all saying this drive is fast and very efficient i jumped at it when i saw it for a decent price. I also have experience with ak hunix drives as i have their s31 sata drive in a desktop n i love it. Cloning the old drive over was a snap, sk hynix gives u an sk hynix version of macrium that works very well. I plopped this thing in and immediately noticed it was fast moving a 16gb file at 2000mbps where i only managed 950 with the old wd drive on the same file. But then i noticed my battery seemed to be draining at a quicker rate. To verify i let it die and charged it up completely before turning it back on and letting it sit idle until it died to see what kind of battery life i got on idle. Sure enough i went from an alteady terrible 6 hours on idle with the wd drive to an even worse 4 hours with the p41 in it. When i used the thing it was like it was sipping battery through a straw giving me 1 n a half to 2 hours. I also noticed it ran hot, sitting around 41-46 degrees c most of the time. Needless to say i didnt keep this drive in the computer, instead opting to buy a 1tb samsung 980 pro(alittle slower but runs cooler and doesnt eat the battery so fast) and i kept this one as a backup. Hopefully they fix some of these issues with firmware updates in the future because it really is a nice drive. Unfortunately for right now if your trying to get a nvme drive for a desktop computer, this one is highly recommended. But if ur trying to get it for a laptop, i say stay away and opt for something else unless u dont mind trading battery life for the speed it delivers. In that case have at it

so far so good
This was suppose to be the company that made Samsung loose Billions of dollars in stocks due to loosing contracts to SK hynix. Decided to try them out. so far it looks ok.. nice packaging, not much faster then my old Samsung 970, but this might be due to being on a PCIe card adapter. For those adding a 2nd NVMe because your motherboard has 2, it doesnt work out this way, if you have 2 NVMe slots on your motherboard and you also have SATA drives enabled. you might not be able to use the 2nd NVMe due to shared resources. Found this out the hard way, My Board is an Asus H570 Prime. So if yours is not showing up, do what i did and buy a PCIe 16x 3 adapter card. The drive goes into the card and the card slots in like any pci does. Pic is of the testing speed between my old Samsung 970, which was the standard for SSD vs SK. GL

Great SSD for gaming at a very affordable price!
Read reviews before deciding on this brand. It ranks one of the highest performance when it comes to gaming! However, the temperature can get quite high. I've added a low profile aluminum heatsink but the temperature is still around 46C at idle. My advice is to get an aftermarket heatsink to cool the drive down for anyone who is bothered by the temperature.

Good quality, fast speeds, just make sure you install the latest firmware patch.
It's been almost 12 years since I built a PC so a lot has changed. It's my first time using an M.2 SSD but this was VERY easy to install (I'd expect this is motherboard dependant). I got 2 Hynix sticks, one was a 1TB and one was a 2TB. They look the same in size etc and just slot straight in then secured. The sticks feel really well made and good quality but my research made me choose these over the Samsung 990s as it was better value for money. They were compatible with my build and I'd recommend PC Parts Picker to be sure before you buy. One thing to note is Hynix did release a firmware update as some users had reported issues with speed. It's very easy to apply just download the Hynix software and update and install onto your SSDs. The read write speeds are really fast with games loading within a minute from launch to getting into game, some as fast as 30-seconds depending on skippable cutscenes. I'm very impressed with the performance and despite my first time using Hynix, I'd highly recommend them!
