The rear wheel assembly appeared to be okay at first. I mounted the tube and tire with no problem. It was simple to install on my bicycle. My first impression was that the nuts and threads of the axle had excessive play in the threads. However, it did tighten well and secured the wheel assembly to the frame. The first twenty or so short rides were fine, then the brakes began to fail. As a coaster brake, one should be able to press backward on the pedals and the bike will slow. However, the more I used the brakes on each subsequent ride, the brakes began to fail to stop the bike and the pedal would rotate in reverse with no braking affect at all.

When I bought this rim I got it for my motorized bike. 80cc/ 66cc motor. I read many negative reviews but still got it because a friend of mine did and I knew what I was getting. When you get these rims they need to be gone through. I spent 10 bucks at my local bike shop to have the spokes tightened and have it trued up. Pretty much any place that sells bike rims they need to have spokes tightened right out of the box. If you don’t the rim will slowly fall apart and usually separate itself from the hub seams. Once I got it home I also took it apart to check for grease and to see if it’s solid. I noticed before I took it apart it was hard to adjust the cone bearing so there is no play in the axle and spins freely. Once I took it apart I noticed that it had no grease on the race bearing on the outside of the sprocket. So I cleaned up the old grease that was barley in there and put high temp grease back in and a good amount too. Once I put it back together it finally adjusted tightly without any play and spun freely as it should. So all in all read the reviews and understand this is simple stuff for a pretty strong and tough rim. These are the things I have experienced buying 200$ rims and this is pretty normal in my experience as far as loose spokes go. So with that being said I had to take it in to a bike shop to get spokes tightened and have it trued for 10 bucks and I had to reassemble and apply a good amount of grease to the bearings and I have a very solid rim. Don’t even try to bolt this on and go without going through it or having a bike guy do it. Especially if you are using this for a motor bike application. It’s very easy. You can watch a video on how to reassemble the bearings and axle with grease but when it comes to the spokes it’s best to take it to a bike shop. Unless you are experienced doing spokes. Ask me anything if you have questions. Update… So far over 200 miles and it’s solid as can be! I’m happy

Wheel was shipped through fed ex and showed up with the one axle damaged due to it being outside of the box. The company was great and refunded me the money for the wheel. The bearings in the wheel work as intended. Other then the axle showing up damaged seems to be a decent wheel if your ok thread chasing the threads.

I love my new rim! It came with a new sprocket and retainer clip and the coaster brake that I wanted. It also has the heavier 12 gauge spokes! (I did have to tighten a few) I installed it right away. Works great!

I was a little skeptical when I first ordered it because of the reviews and a lot of them referred to horable packaging but it seems they fixed that I’m very pleased with this product for the price you can’t be mad would definitely recommend
