My most used flash modifier
The perfect no-nonsense modifier for the Canon Speedlite 600EX-RT. I have used Stofen omni-bounces for years on my various Speedlites. The omni-bounce very evenly spreads light and most commonly I use it when my flash is tilted to 45-90º, which results in more forward fill when bouncing up. This works well to provide a more natural looking light source (i.e. from above), but helps to prevent unpleasant shadows in the foreground. I haven't measured the light loss but have seen it estimated at ~1 stop, which is consistent with my experience. Fit is quite tight (tighter than my prior 580EX omni-bounces), but I think I prefer it. There's no give or feeling that these will drop off during use; however, as a result it takes a bit of a pull to remove. In my opinion this should be in any 600EX owner's kit.

Good material
Good material fits like a glove in my Canon flashes

These are nice and compact diffusers. GN test data below.
They're a little overpriced for what they are, but they work great. I finally got around to buying one because I needed it for an interior architecture job I had. I did a Guide Number test and determined that this drops the GN on the 600EX-RT by about 3 stops to 14 at max power. If you're in a room with walls and a ceiling then the decrease in stops will not be as severe and is probably the 1.5 stop decrease claimed on the literature. I did my test in a non-bouncing testing area. These are up there with the Gary Fong products. Gary Fong is a bit better but these have an advantage of being compact.

Sometimes the simple stuff is best.
Yes it's a piece of plastic and seems pretty expensive but it's worth it. I stayed away from these for years because it seemed so simplistic and the bad reviews about "an expensive piece of Tupperware" turned me off to it. I've used all kinds of light modifiers over the years but this one seems to be the most versatile and least fiddly when I'm on the go. It is hard to take off when I need the extra oomph and go bare bulb but that doesn't happen very often. The issue with light loss has pretty much gone away with cameras taking good color and contrast at 3200 ISO and higher. Because of that, most of the time I only use it as fill light. I would say I use it 75% of the time when I'm using flash.

Works well for what it is supposed to do.
These fit the Canon Flash perfectly and are light and easy to pack. It is meant to create a bare bulb effect with the flash - so rather than a directed flash, this sends flash in all directions like a light bulb. It works best when there are surfaces to bounce off of nearby - otherwise it simply reduces/wastes flash power. Any softening of light is from the bounce effect, not from the diffuser - hence the name "Omni-BOUNCE"! Bounce it. For the price, you can't beat it.

too tight but does it's job.
It does it's job at flash diffusion, but I struggle to put it on and off of the flash. It's a super snug fit to the point where I'm wrestling to get it off the flash using both hands. The edges seem a bit concave, so I have to pull out the bottom edge so that it will fit. I had a knock off brand for my 580EX ii and it worked perfectly, nice fit and easily came off with a firm pull.

A Necessary Diffuser For Your Flash
The secret to beautiful lighting is diffused light. What you need to diffuse your light is something that goes over your flash attachment—like this bounce diffuser. This cover is made specifically to fit Canon's 600EX-RT Flash attachment. You can do a before and after comparison and will see a big difference in the softening of light on a person's face. Having a diffuser is necessary to making a room/person look like they were naturally lit without outside help. It'll help you go from amateur to professional if you have the right eye for it. This diffuser is well made, affordable, and a requirement for any serious photographer. Recommended.

For those times when you can't get the flash off camera
This diffuser is an excellent modifier, especially for the price point. It fits with no problems on my Canon 600 ex-rt. I had a home-made one, that served me well for my 430 EX II, but this snugger fit will keep it from falling off. The light diffuses nicely and makes using a flash on camera possible for those times when you can't get the flash off camera. My family has very deep-set eyes and bouncing does not work, so this is a life-saver for me.
