Double Weaved Hard Shell Shade Hat Large Fit Wide Brim Straw Hat Tan

I’ve bought several of these and wear them everywhere outside. Lightweight, UV nice, and really provides great sun protection. It’s got a nice expandable headband so it kind of squeezes your head nicely, without being too tight. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth the money because it’s a nice hat. Just take care of it and don’t man-handle it because it’s a nice woven piece of natural protection.

Through much trial and error I've been looking for sun protection to cover my full face, neck and shoulders. This hat does the trick! This hat actually shades my nose, cheeks and lips unlike other wide brim hats and visors I've tried. It's also not floppy and has a sturdy tie that is easy to slide so it stays on. There is plenty of room on top part (the crown) so I can wear my hair up which prevents me from getting "hat hair." The weave is tight and the hat structure is sturdy. It is heavier than wearing a wide brim visor but not by much and it allows for air circulation. I have a smallish head so I was worried that it might be too big for me but to my delight, the elastic band inside makes it a perfect fit for me, although I can see myself using a bandana as a headband if I feel like it gets too loose. Another possibility is to purchase foam hat size reducers that stick on under the interior hat band if necessary. I don't know how it will fit larger heads, but it could very well be adapted to different size noggins. I hesitated due to the price but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this fun and functional hat! Update: I thought it would be helpful to show pictures showing measurements and share more details. First, the circumference of my head where the hat band lands on my head is about 21 inches. Also, I thought I'd try wearing a folded up bandana around my forehead underneath the hat and found that the hat definitely fit more snug and found it to be very comfortable with the bandana although, it also works fine, just a little looser, without the bandana. My guess is that the hat will still fit larger heads but possibly fit higher than on my head? Hope this helps!

I like this hat and use it when I'm mowing the lawn or doing other outside work. The brim is huge and it almost looks comical, so I wouldn't wear it to town. The hat is made of palm leaves and is very durable. Large brim keeps the sun off your head, face and neck.

This is a quality straw hat. Over the last few years this is the largest brim garden hat I have found on the market. Perfect for days in the yard.

This hat does what it was made to do..provides shade. Yesterday was 113° and today's high will be the same or higher. This hat fits comfortably. The band allows it to fit perfectly. The brim can be worn up as well as down. It's not going to fly off in gusty winds. My head, neck and shoulders were shaded as I walked to get my mail from my mailbox 📬. I'm convinced that I spent my money well. I love it for what it does: provides shade and helps to keep me cooler.

Never BBQ your face again. has string so even works in high winds. also brim is down design so that also catches less wind. Never blows off like my straight brim does. working outside or hikes in sun, this is a must. also natural woven straw breaths, unlike groovy hip in style hats. if you want shade everywhere you go, this is it. or if you want to be cool and then buy a in style hat and get a BBQ face.

Do not be wooed by surf-brand hats or cheaper knockoffs advertised elsewhere - this is the one to get. I live on Lake Huron and am out paddleboarding or kayaking most days during the summer and needed a comically enormous straw hat to cover my face and shoulders. Took the advice of other reviews and could not be happier; this hat is absolute perfection for what it is intended to do. Namely, protect from the sun and ensure you make those around you laugh in a good-natured way while being secretly jealous.

Great quality gardening hat. Shade covers both shoulders, my neck and face. I don't recommend if you need to look up while working, but otherwise I enjoy it very much!

I have rosacea and this hat allows me to continue gardening. Completely shades face and allows air flow on head. Love this hat. I did need to put in a few stitches in elastic inside band to make smaller.
