That part is nice. The only problem I had was it fell apart on the first day. On the way down from Yosemite Falls the bottom flew off. I could return but I figured it would be easier to just glue it myself so that's what I'm going to do. There is a lot of tension on the bottom joint compressing the spring and pulling all the sections together. If if fails again, I'll put a small screw or something through the side along with epoxy. Also this is only 1 pole, not a pair. Not sure why they sell them that way. Review: One Star - The first time I used it, it came apart.
