Itโs The Real Deal
After reading many reviews and looking at different sellers, I settled on this motor and Iโm glad I did. Reviews of other motors complained of the wires being too short or the wires being the incorrect gauge (too skinny). The wires on this motor are the proper length and gauge. Using YouTube and reverse engineering this motor was a very straightforward install. It even arrived one day ahead of schedule, which was great because we had been without a/c for a week and were melting. This motor has been running strong for a week now and sometimes most of the day. It runs like a champ! This motor is the real deal and at a fraction of the cost of calling an hvac place. Iโm very happy with my purchase.

Perfect part replacement
Just purchased this motor after having the AC tech come over 3 times!!! AC techs were useless and a waste of money. Searched YouTube and learned how to troubleshoot the issue, seemed the like the issue to from the start (AC techs for home warranty are just there to make money and prolong the repair process). Anyway, the motor fit perfect and works perfect. AC fixed right on time for the heat wave.

Carrier condenser fan motor HC39GE236A replacement
This Gentec motor exactly replaced my 21 year old Carrier 1/4HP a/c condenser fan motor. The swap out took about one hour on a 98ยฐ day in Florida! Nothing complicated and no surprises involved. The motor fit perfectly in place of the original one. The 3 motor wires were each long enough to reach the circuit board, capacitor, and contactor. All wires came with the proper spade terminals attached. Do not attempt this repair if you have not been trained to work safely with electricity and electric wiring. WARNING - DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE STARTING THIS REPAIR Suggestions for an easy install: 1. Turn off a/c circuit breakers and remove the power disconnect "pull out" from the outside wall mounted electric box. (Place it on top of the box). 2. Spray some Rust-Buster on the mounting screws and the motor shaft where the fan is attached. 3. Remove the service cover from the side of the condenser housing and follow the black, yellow, and brown wires from the old motor to their connection points on the circuit board (Black), capacitor (Brown), and contactor (Yellow) **Label the connection points with masking tape, THEN disconnect the wires. 4. Remove the fan guard, motor, and fan blade as one assembly **Be especially careful that you DO NOT BEND THE FAN BLADES! 5. Carefully remove the fan blade, then the fan guard. Install the fan guard then the fan blade on the new motor. **The fan blade retaining screw should be towards the tip end of the motor shaft. 6. Place the fan/motor/guard assembly on top of the condenser housing while properly rerouting and connecting the motor wires. *Use some small plastic zip ties (wire ties) to secure the new wires away from the fan blade. 7. Before screwing the fan guard to the condenser housing, spin the fan by hand to make sure it does not hit the wires or condenser. Then screw the fan guard down tightly and recheck clearance. 8. Replace the service cover. 9. Insert the power connector in the outside wall box (you should be able to read the word "ON" at the top of the connector - if not, pull it out, rotate it 180ยฐ and reinstall it). 10. Turn a/c circuit breakers on. Enjoy your A/C! Thank you Amazon Prime for FAST SHIPPING!

Back up and running!
I used this to replace the motor on my 30 year old Payne A/C unit which died in the middle of a 100 degree heat wave. This was not the exact replacement by model number. I think ours was a 232a. But after some research I found this would fit and was shipping and receiving in 2 days which is what I needed (faster than A/C people could do it). I received this unit - replaced the capacitor (do it at the same time itโs cheap and if your motor went itโs probably taking your capacitor down with it) and the motor at the same time. I got it back up and running but it had a decent amount of wobble. Turns out I must have bent the fan blade when removing. I replaced the blade as well and now it runs perfectly. By my calculation including the service fee to validate my hypothesis, by purchasing this product and the accompanying accessories I saved myself well over $1000 and kept the final tab under or just at $200.

Great day
I am pleased to confirm that I have successfully received and installed the fan motor. The repair was completed efficiently, and I am very satisfied with the exact fit of the motor. This has been a significant relief, especially given the challenging summer temperatures in South Florida, and has resulted in substantial savings for my family. Thank you once again for your assistance. Sincerely, Rudy Vargas

Awesome product! Got our AC running again.
Our motor went out on our ac unit and it was going to cost way too much for us to have someone come out and fix. We purchased this motor for considerably less than what the ac repair guy was going to charge. It was easy to install and now we're back in business!!!

wires are to short
The wires are about 5 inches too short. I had to rearrange the capacitor and contactor in order to work. The description needs to be updated and include the length of the wires.
