Evenflo Versatile Play Space Adjustable Play Area, 6-Panel (Cool Gray)

I absolutely love this durable and versatile play space. We use them for our dogs when they are little and need to be contained. I love that they are easy to assemble and adjust so that you can make the space big or small by just sliding the individual panels on and off each other. We actually have 2 sets so that we can make a large area for the dogs to play in. They are portable and will fold together accordion style so that you can travel with them or take them out and use them in the yard etc. They have a nice appearance and are grey in color. They could obviously be use for small children instead of fur babies. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs to create a safe space for their littles.

The last one of these I bought, was to keep puppies away from the Christmas tree. So I figured it would work to keep them from getting to close to the brooder with the baby chicks in it. It works perfectly. The dogs can still see the chicks but can’t get right up to them and scare them. A few weeks later when the chicks went outside in the front yard in a chicken tractor during the day, I took it out and put it around that too. Again, works perfectly. It’s easy to adjust the size by removing a panel if needed. And it’s sturdy enough to not worry about it being tipped over yet light enough to easily carry it to wherever you need to put it. And it folds flat without any difficulty. The fact that it folds flat makes storage much easier. My dogs are rat terriers so they are on the smaller side. 1 weighs about 20 lbs and is not terribly tall, maybe 10”. Her brother is quite a bit bigger, about 30 lbs and early 3-5” taller. They have stood on their hind legs, front feet on the top of this play yard and with the back side secured against the wall or in our case, the wood stove there was no worries it would move. And though they could look over the top of it and into the brooder, they couldn’t jump over. If you had a dog that was a jumper by nature it might not be tall enough to keep them from going over the top but in our case, one is a bit chubby and not much into jumping. His sister is more so but she was too short to get over it. So if you want to keep something inside the yard safe from whatever, I recommend this. This is the second one we’ve had in the last 12 yrs ( would still have the first one of it hadn’t been loaned out and their dogs hadn’t chewed it all up. All in all, sturdy, easy to use and move and good quality for many many years of use for a large variety of things.

We've had this for a few weeks and LOVE it. Wish we had bought it sooner! It's a little pricey, but not compared to other collapsible play pens considering the quality of this one. The 8 panel one is huge, and we love that you can use it as sort of a baby gate if needed. We never use it as a playpen because we didn't buy it until our little one was 12 months old and she'd throw a fit the whole time being confined to a playpen. However, it works amazingly to block her from areas we don't want her. We split it into 3 sections and used it to protect our Christmas tree, stereo, and dog bowls from the baby all at once. It's saved us so much trouble! There's no gate on it but it doesn't need one because every panel can turn into a gate. The joints are very easy for an adult to open the playpen up at any panel. You can position it pretty much however you want, but the panels do have "positions" they snap into so it'll try to stick to only certain positions. There are a lot of positions though, so it's not like it's only every 45 degrees or something. It's super easy to use and seems to be designed and made very well. The joints are large and robust, and I'm not at all concerned about anything breaking. It does get wobbly the more you stretch it out, but we always had it positioned in a way where it'd be difficult for the baby to knock it over. It folds down reasonably small for what it is. Obviously plastic panels can only fold so small, but it will be able to tuck into a closet corner when we no longer use it often. We're very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend this product.

We really like this pen and it is well thought out. There are no sharp edges and it is safe and comfortable for baby to be in. The “any panel can be a gate” feature is so fantastic, I am beyond impressed with how functional that is. It also makes for customizing the pen size a breeze. Add or remove panels at will. They fit in anywhere and any one can be the gate! It folds up in itself nicely, is easy to move around and store. Even those less buff and spry can handle this no problem. The fallback of it being so light and user friendly is that strong willed babies (and especially toddlers) can manipulate and push panels at will. They will buckle to the pressure and reshape the entire pen if your little one is particularly persistent. Overall, it’s a good set for us that we can set baby in temporarily, move from room to room as needed, or even unhook and spread out to use as a makeshift gate (or two or three). The only thing I would change would be a way to lock the panels/shape into place so pushing on it didn’t collapse at the joint.

This play area pen is fantastic and such a help! It's so easy to use because it's lightweight but it is very durable. I only used it one day so far but I used it several different ways and it was a tremendous help! First I made the closed octogan play area configuation and my grandson played so nicely with some toys while I did the dishes and straightened the house. Then I opened it up and wrapped it around the room blocking off one part of a room with unsafe areas and a door to another room. That gave him two rooms in the house that were safe for him to go into which he loved. I loved it too because I didn't worry what he was doing in the other room that I was not in. I also used it in the closed position again to keep my visiting son's dog in while I took my grandbaby for a walk. That was nice because I didn't want to leave the dog free and alone while I was not home. I used the closed play area configuration again to keep the baby from dashing through the door while I took the stroller outside too. So this is very helpful to me. I'm thinking of getting another one for my grandson's parents. I also got the extension so that we can set it up in the rectangle formation and also to make a larger area when we use it outside. One of the reasons I chose the Evenflo was because it was a bit taller than the rest I researched and it has the stakes to make it more secure outside. This makes things easier and better and I'm very pleased with this fence play area! While this is not a replacement for adult supervision, it is very much a safer area for my kiddos with plenty of room!

Has worked really well for our now mobile infant. Conveniently disassemble for storage or to take while traveling. The ease of taking apart, adjustability adding/removing sections, and easy transport for taking on trips were a few of the selling points for me compared to other styles. This did product did not disappoint. Initially product was delivered damaged due to a hole in the box where it was apparently punctured during shipping. Was easy to send the damaged one back and quickly received a new one.

First off let me say that Evenflo hit a huge home run with this play space (or as my 10 year old son calls it, "baby jail). The single biggest feature that my wife and I love is that each part of the webbing is a rounded edge and not a sharp plastic edge. We have no worry about our daughter hurting her hands or feet on this fencing due to the awesome rounded edges of the plastic. In the classic octagon shape it is 5ft across by 4ft 10" across from the two opposite corners and the two opposite straight edges of the octagon. This gives a large enough space for your baby to crawl and maneuver around and explore the area safely. Each panel of the play space is held together with a simple and effective push button hinge design. The fencing can be easily taken apart by an adult and reconfigured in a matter of seconds yet is completely secure enough where a baby or toddler would be unable to separate the fencing. The webbing on each panel is small enough where a baby/toddler in the standing stage would be unable to effectively place their foot into the opening and climb. My daughter is nearly 9 months and is able to pull herself up and is starting to explore things with her feet while she is holding herself up. Her hands are completely unharmed due to the awesome rounded edges on the webbing. The angled design of the webbing also prevents little feet from being able to climb up the panel. The play space easily folds up for storage. Think of an accordion style where each fence panel folds over onto the other. You simply detach one corner from the adjoining panel by pushing the white button on top of the joint and the fence folds up easily. I purchased this Evenflo baby gate because we purchased a new home and don’t want our large dogs (136 pounds being the heaviest) scratching the paint and wood of the doors at the nice house like they have done at our old house. The gate comes in 6 sections of panels with a connecting hinge between each, so it can completely encircle something. There is a white “button” or mechanism on the top of the hinge that you have to press really hard and then muscle it apart. If I had to find a critique about this baby gate, it would be that it is difficult to disassemble. For me, I only had to do it twice (once for each section), so it wasn’t a problem. The hinges snap to a variety of positions, which makes them very stable. If they didn’t snap to the different angles, they would be easier to collapse by putting pressure on the corners or sides. I was able to use the one gate I ordered to form a barrier around the single side porch door, and the remaining four panels to surround the double back doors. The panels are tall enough that the dogs see it as a barrier, and it was easy to train them to avoid it, but short enough that I can lean over it to put food down. The gate is light and stable enough that I can reposition it with one hand without it collapsing. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our purchase and highly recommend this Evenflo pet/baby gate. 5/5 stars

We use it with an open concept (not completely closing the gate, and it really does the trick to blocking the areas needed where we dont want our son to go! :)

Good sturdy product. We have just used it to block our child from accessing power inverter. Worked good. Also this made in Canada and not like colorful set from same firm which is made in China.

Wish it was a little more sturdy but otherwise it is definitely a good purchase
