Can I put it in my washing machine?

No. This is only for room scenting. Not to wash clothes

It says $1.99 on the package why is it so much?

It is a large refill packaage if thats the item your asking about

wth is clearly says 1.99 on it & they are selling it for almost 7$ with tax
