This is a great product. It's a little big for this application ( as you can see by the photo). We are happy that we have a working clock again, and it keeps great time. I had to modify the pendulum a little but it works great.

While I was a bit disappointed this wall clock's pendulum motor only lasted about 3 1/2 years, the Youngstown clock and pendulum replacement motor was an ideal fix. I like that it's an all-in-one assembly and just takes one battery. The pendulum swings farther and with more speed than it ever did even before when the clock was new. Couple of things to consider before purchasing. First, be sure you can get your clock apart and get the old motor(s) out. This particular clock had 4 small screws plus strong glue holding the face inside (the front glass does not open), and I had to saw through the adhesive with a razor blade which was the most difficult part of the entire task. Also, once your old motor is out, measure the depth of the shaft (the part that holds the hands) and buy the replacement piece that is closest to what you have already. On this product I believe four different shaft sizes are available. Last, be aware that there is no replacement pendulum included so you'll have to use your old one. It does include three different sets of hands (all different lengths) but I reused the old ones. There's also a sweeping hand that rotates once per minute if you want, but I left that off and it works fine without it. The motor is very quiet as well. Highly recommend this product!

Overall, this product works really well and does exactly what I needed it to do. It feels sturdy, performs as expected, and has been reliable since I started using it. The quality is solid and it definitely seems built to last. This style uses a single AA battery that lasts for months. The only drawback is that it didn’t come with any instructions. While it’s not too difficult to figure out, having a quick guide would have saved me some time and made the setup smoother. Aside from that, I’m very happy with the purchase. It’s a great product and worth recommending, just be prepared to do a little trial and error at first

Installed on clock that had quick working. Easy to install. Working well. Great price. Measure existing clock for length of threaded protrusion and buy correct one for replacement.

I have a lovely old glass clock from Venice and the original mechanism had stopped keeping time. This new mechanism was a perfect replacement with its tall stem and the variety of hands the kit includes. The swinging part works perfectly with the glass pendulum the clock came with, and it's keeping time and swinging away nicely!

Used this to repair an Allen Designs clock. Easy fix and clock/pendulum is good as new

I purchased this item in February of 2026 and now in April it is losing 5 minutes in less than an hour. I have replaced the battery with a new battery 3 times and it still loses time.
