Great vaccuum
I had a vacuum for over 20 years. It was time to replace it. There are so many vacuums out there. We had made the mistake before in buying a cheaper brand that didn't last and I didnt want to buy a more expensive one and it be junk too. I only bought this one after watching several videos from other customers and I finally pulled the trigger. Yes it is over my normal budget, but hopefully this one will last a long time. It is quiet and runs smoothly. I love it.

Leaking Bag, Loose Connector & Unstable Parking Slot (Miele C3)
⭐ Amazon Review – Miele C3 (final version) I bought the Miele C3 expecting it to be an improvement over the C1, mainly because of the videos and reviews I saw online. Pros: • The storage area for extra parts and accessories is very convenient. • The extension wand is longer than the C1, which helps during cleaning. • The overall design looks more modern. Cons: • The biggest issue is bag leakage. I tested both the original Miele bag and a third-party (compatible) bag, and both leaked. • The blue plastic part where the bag connects comes off very easily, even though it’s not supposed to. Every time I try to change the bag, that piece comes loose. • The compartment door where the bag is replaced is very hard to close. It feels like I’m going to break it, so I have to be extremely careful. • I believe the leaking problem is related to a defect in this blue connector part. • The parking slot on the side (where the extension wand is supposed to rest when the vacuum is standing) almost never holds the vacuum securely. Because of this, the vacuum fell over once and the telescopic wand mechanism broke. • I tried to replace only the broken small part (which cost about $18), but it could not be properly installed. In the end, I had to buy a whole new wand for about $130. • I contacted Miele and never received a response. • I also delayed contacting the Amazon seller because I was trying to determine if this was a defect or just my unit, and I may now be outside the return window. Conclusion: I really wanted to like this vacuum because it has good design ideas and useful features. However, the bag leakage, unstable connector, and weak parking slot make it frustrating to use. For a premium-priced vacuum, I expected much better durability and quality. If these issues were fixed, this could be a great product. Unfortunately, based on my experience, the C1 felt more reliable.

This vacuum gets a workout, and never sweats it!
I've had this vacuum for several months now, and I have to say now that we are done with our dating phase, that I am in love with this vacuum! I've never spent more that $300 on a vacuum before, but I have always had pets and kids running around in an antique house with those gaps between the floor boards, and you know what that means?! Dirt, fur, dust bunnies galore. This thing has superpowers! The suction is amazing. So much so, that I may have to put some of the dust back in between my floor boards so the gaps dont show as much as they do now. The powered carpet attachment with the brush is great for the fur problem, and I purchased an additional floor attachment to do my hard floors. Honestly I didnt need to do that, because the carpet attachment also works great on the hard floors. I like the ease of the push buttons to switch between suction levels. I especially love the retractable cord. One push of a button (or kick with my foot) and it smoothly retracts the whole cord in one shot. The machine is not lightweight. But I have never used a vacuum that didn't build my biceps a bit as I was vacuuming the stairs. I look at it this way, at least it vacuums so good that I can do the whole flight of carpeted stairs in about 5-10 minutes. As for noise, she's super quiet. When I first got it, I was showing off for my husband and ran it under his feet while he was watching a hockey game. He said, "is that even on"? 'nuff said. So far, I have no regrets for spending more money on a more dependable, well-made vacuum. I may never go back to my cheap ways again.

Seems worth it so far.
Expensive but sofar seems worth it. You do need to get at least the basic power head. To get the better one is even more $$$ which is hard to believe at the price point you’ve already paid.

Even better value as a replacement for an older Miele Vac
This purchase was to replace my 25 year old Miele S344i Platinum vacuum. Although it may seem extravagant, $700 is a great price for a German made Miele vacuum, that can also use power accessories. I packed away the basic tools that were included and reused the 2 year old bare floor and SEB 236 power nozzles from my old vac. That gave me the equivalent vacuum to the $1200 Miele Kona, but saved me the over $400 price difference. Other than the new, one-touch, retractable power cord and lager dust bag, there really isn’t much of difference between my new vac and the old one it was replacing and that’s a good thing. I removed one star For two reasons. You have to turn the power way down to use the included bare floor nozzle. Otherwise, it’s sucks down onto the floor and is difficult to move. You should be able to use full suction if the floor brush is set to the proper height. The other reason was because the included power nozzle does not have a light on it. A row of LEDs on the front would only have added $2-3 to the manufacturer cost and the omission degrades the premium feel of a electric power nozzle over the air-driven turbo nozzles included in Miele’s cheaper models. It is also worth noting that this a grey market import intended for the Canadian market. It’s a genuine Miele vacuum, but Miele will not honor the warranty. Miele’s USA website doesn’t even recognize the serial number, but If not having a warranty doesn’t bother you, then this vac is still a good value.

C3 Excellence - Canadian Model. No Warranty In The US
You cannot register this vacuum in the US as it’s a Canadian model and they will not honor the warranty. This is directly from Miele USA. However, it’s a perfectly legit German made C3 with an electro wand, hose and electro brush. The lowest price US C3 with these capabilities is ~$1049. Miele motors rarely fail and are about $175. The control board is about $75. Save $300 and take a chance or pay more for the warranty.

Superior Quality and Functionality
Expensive but excellent! This is an truly great vacuum cleaner - very good quality materials with a VERY powerful suction with adjustable power settings with the middle setting more that adequate for most carpets and hard floors. The bags and filter function well and there is no detectable escape of dust or odor from the canister. The bags, while a tad pricey, hold quite a bit of stuff, have a spring flap and lock into place in the canister reducing the chance of dust escaping. The motor-driven head is a real plus and, unlike many air-turbine-driven cleaning heads, maintains its power and, once switched on from the convenient wand handle switch, really agitates carpet tuft to release deep-down dirt and dust. The wand is a bit weighty but that's the quality of the materials, is fully adjustable and maneuverable. All attachments are carried on-board and are also smaller to facilitate accessing tight spaces. Importantly, its backed by both a seller and manufacturer's 5 year warranty. Given the options of other vacuum cleaners and their [lower] quality, this is actually a sensible purchase, once the upfront price is surmountable

Nice Quality
Thrilled that after ordering a more expense Miele vacuum, I saw this one go on sale, $949.99 to $699.99. I quickly cancelled the first and bought this one. Great price for a great product. Didn’t really need all the features of the more expensive one. Still cheeper than Amazon USA, $910.46. Imagine, Canadian prices competitive. Only had it for a week and am very happy with it. It’s the third one I’ve purchased in 24 years. My wife has the expensive one with all the extras. Fabulous. The first one we use for cleaning the trucks. The canister still works fine (sucks great) but the power head died so we bought a new one. As for this one, I needed something for my house (long story, all’s good). Added the HEPA filter, just because. The canister is easy to move around, similar to the others. I don’t think it’s heavy at all. A vacuum has to have some girth to it. Now the power head doesn’t have the height adjustments like the more expensive one. And you can feel the suction as you push it over the carpet. You do need to work at it a little, I can feel it, over the one with adjustable power head. Can see why it’s not recommended for a shag rug. So far, very pleased. I’ll provide an update after I use it a few more times and see if anything changes with it. 17 months later, still thrilled with my vacuum. 36 months, still very happy.

Not much of a powerhead
It's a nice vacuum, very quiet, was a great price, and made in Germany (their less expensive models are made in China), but it's really hard to push over carpet and mine's not high pile. There are only two wheels at the back of the head and are too small to properly glide over carpet, and I thought, being a powerhead, it would be easier to use and why I bought it. It seems to be more for a very very low pile carpet or mat, not the carpet in an apartment. I'm returning this one and I will wait until the more expensive ones, with the proper electric power head, go on sale. I'm really disappointed.

AN ABSOLUTE DREAM
I love this vacuum. I was so excited to get it on the recommendation of the 'Clean Mama' blog. It is powerful and QUIET. It's not silent but if you're used to a shark or dyson this will be such a welcome relief. Someone can vacuum on the floor above and I might not know it I'm not paying attention. I love that all the different nozzles store right inside the canister. No more lost pieces. The retractable cord cuts out that couple minutes carefully winding the cord back into place (or discovering someone hasn't put the cord away at all.) The suction is excellent, it's very powerful. It's adjustable for different levels of power for different types of flooring. It comes with a rug and hardwood head as well as a rotating carpet head. The handle is adjustable from very short to very very tall. My 4 year old loves to help out and vacuum and the shortest setting is very comfortable for her. It's also very comfortable on a higher setting for my 6 foot partner. All the buttons are so strategically placed that it's all a breeze. And I was so opposed to bags but I always had messes dumping out my bagless dysons and shark. This is entirely messless, not even a drop of dust when you change the bag. Honestly, if you get a Miele you don't ever go back. Everything is so well though out.
