Pitcher AND Filter is A+!
I've had this pitcher for 9 months now & it still works wonderfully! The Brita filter lasted 7-8 months for one person using average 1 & 1/2 a day (I know, I should be drinking more). The color indicator never seemed to turn yellow, but the green seemed to flash slower, then one day it was flashing red - and there was a difference in taste. So maybe be ready with another filter instead of waiting to buy one until you see the yellow. I did buy a knockoff brand filter replacement & there's enough of a difference in taste (& most likely longevity) that I am DEFINITELY staying with the BRITA brand filter from now on.FYI - the Brita filter did need to be 'burped' about 3 times toward the beginning (water was not percolating through, so I just ran my finger across the top of the filter to get it going) - & now that I've had the lower quality knockoff that has not needed burping, I consider that a GOOD quality instead of bad. Also, I'm glad I waited this long to give a review because in the beginning, I was wondering how the plastic was going to hold up & it has! The hard plastic 'felt' like it would be more brittle, so I tried to be careful not to bang it pulling it out of the fridge etc. But it HAS happened enough times & I've inspected it, for me to realize that it's durable! I also noticed that it's AIRTIGHT - not sure if that's the word for it - but it never produced any little mold spots INSIDE the pitcher! When I did see one or two, they formed at the very top edge where tap water droplets strayed while filling it. When I noticed that, I learned from my lesson & made sure to have the pitcher open & ready to be filled directly instead of allowing any stray water droplets to happen. As per instructions, I also don't leave the flip top open while it's percolating. I close it then open again to fill to fill line (the little protrusion) a 2nd time. I've also noticed to be careful not to touch the pour spout on anything since tiny mold spots can occur there. Otherwise, I've left it in the fridge without the need to clean it out (no signs or smells of bacteria inside) all those months. There is ONE thing that I would like for them to change in the design, but it's not bad enough to take off a star. The flip top, although it opens easily, also CLOSES too easily. I flip it with my thumb while holding the handle, but then when I barely move my thumb it hits it closed again. I hate when that happens because then the tap water splashes across the top between the pitcher & filter top or the spout to potentially produce tiny mold spots. I have to constantly remind myself to be careful flipping the top & totally take my hands away & have the tap placed squarely over the open area before turning on the water. There's enough room between faucet & pitcher that I can flip it closed again right away for it to percolate. I LOVE that the percolating process doesn't take too long either! Although it does percolate faster with the knockoff filter - another sign the knockoff doesn't work as well.

Great Introduction!
If you've never owned a Brita product, this is probably the best product to start with.My partner and I use it religiously! It's super easy to refill and replace the filter. Tastes better than bottled water!Would especially recommend to anyone gaining their first place whether alone or with another person, it's perfect!

Crystal clear water
Our town has pretty decent water, but we like having ice-cold water available from the fridge, so we got this to also provide some extra quality control. The filter area holds a good amount of water, and works much quicker than the Brita filters I remember as a kid. It holds enough water for a few glasses without a refill, and the pour is smooth and easy. I can't really say how well the filters actually work since our water is good anyway. One note - our pitcher kind of picks and chooses when it wants to actually remind us to change the filter.

Good but not as good as the original Britas
This pitcher is a little small, it takes a full pitcher to fill my 40 ounce insulated cup (NOT that overly hyped up trendy brand!) I find this to be acceptable for one person, I drink 2 pitchers of filtered water every day. It’s convenient that 1 pitcher closely equals my 40 ounce tumbler. I used Brita when they originally cane out and don’t know what’s different but it does seem that the water has a slight taste whereas originally, Brita pitchers pretty much removed all taste from my tap water. It might just be that my tap water is that bad now. It’s very easy and quick to put a new filter in and toss out the first couple of pitchers. It does a decent job of filtering out chlorine and other yucky tap water taste. I do think some brands of bottled water taste better but I love not having to buy bottled water anymore, the Brita allows me to drink tap water which I cannot stomach unfiltered and I save a lot of money as well as help the environment.A good buy that I am happy with. I see no issues with the design,I very slightly underfill it and it filters quickly and I fill my tumbler and recill the pitcher and put it in the fridge for my refill later in the day. This size will not work for a family but is perfect for just me. The filters are convenient and easy to find and a breeze to replace. I don’t think the indicator light is necessary and I could do without that feature but if Brita wants an indicator to light up on my pitcher lid, okay then!I recommend this, everyone needs to drink more water..

Easy Care Water Filtration
Easy assemble and care. Cleans easy and maintenance is simple.Lid cover does not cover pour spout but not an issue for me.
User
Improved design!
Much better since they changed the design to feature a flip top lid, Rather than having to pull off the whole top part of the lid to refill.

Had it for 2 weeks now
had it for 2 weeks now and would say it’s done a pretty great job! It’s definitely better than having water bottles thrown out every time.

NO REGRETS!!
I didn’t want to write a review until I actually used it!It’s been 4 months since I gotten the pitcher it’s such a good size for my small dorm fridge especially it fits right into the side fridge pocket. I have no regrets buying this item im sure the tap water is fine since I live in Canada but I genuinely love my Britt’s and it is the most used thing EVER. When people come over they use it all of my friends use it and it’s the perfect size not to small either.Usually after three full cups if u fill it multiple times it runs out which is sad because it requires constant refills but it literally only takes 30 seconds I mean cmon. I would 100% but it if u need it but if u already have clean water skip out on it obvi as it can be a hassle to fill

Very thin plastic - broke within 6 months
It arrived broke once, so it got replaced by Amazon. However right now it has been dropped and broke again since, the usage is great but the plastic is thin and very delicate for some reason. I bought extra filters so I will be repurchasing but not of necessity and not by choice?
