Not my first time buying this kit. Fits and seals good, just make sure to use Honda bond on the edges as the manual instructs. These are significantly cheaper than a genuine Honda part but they are also really accessible so I wouldn’t even worry about it. Just buy it.

My 98 civic si had a slight sweat around the valve cover so I was in a hunt to find a good product. I stumbled apon this and it fit perfectly. No trimming it squeezing everything slid right into place and stopped my leak, the hardest part was cleaning the head and cover of the old gasket

Perfecto para honda civic 2000 1.6 Sohc

First time I've done this. Replaced original gaskets on a 2000 D16Y8 valve cover. Original gaskets were hardened and leaking oil. Replacement fit perfectly, although I created a couple of small tears in the spark plug seals when seating them with a slightly undersize socket (I didn't have one quite large enough). It is easy to seat them unevenly, and the shape of the seal means that part of it is quite thin and tears easily. Additionally, getting the lip of the seal over the tube during installation is difficult. I didn't quite manage it, but no oil is leaking into the tubes yet so I'm calling it good. I applied Permatex 82180 to the right-angle corners where it goes around camshaft. I used a vise to remove the old bolt seals and a couple of sockets to install the new ones. I would consider this job to be something an amateur can do, and if you do an imperfect job nothing important will break. I'm happy with the product, as the only negatives were due to user error and Honda's design.
