Excellent value for money
Very straight forward to install and so far extremely happy with it. Our old A/V sender only had 4 channels and was affected by the microwave, the Wi-Fi - even by other household's appliances! As we use use it to watch tv in our kitchen this was extremely frustrating! This one has none of those problems with so many different 'channel's and it is great to be able to continue watching a programme while heating the baked beans! It has a good range too. The sky box is up in the bedroom on the third floor and the picture quality and sound in the kitchen is excellent. One word of warning; we recently had a power cut and afterwards had to turn it back on and reset unlike many appliances that just switch back on as they were. Not a big issue at all tho'.

Not HD and only for tv's 40" or less.
Firstly, considering this item is currently being sold for almost £55, I was surprised by just how cheap looking and light it actually is. It's obviously plastic, but feels thin and doesn't give you the impression that it would actually last very long, especially if you were unlucky enough to drop it. From the weight of it, it seems that there isn't a great deal inside the casing and the connections seem loose. Despite these issues, I connected everything up as the instructions tell you, switched both units on...and got absolutely nothing. I tried various frequencies, hoping that something would appear, but nothing. What isn't made clear when you decide to purchase this item are two very important points that you really need to be aware off. According to the instructions, it should only be used with tv's that have a screen size of 40 inches or less. Mine is 75 inches. More importantly however is that you don't get HD picture quality (assuming you're lucky enough to get it to work). The instructions tell you that the picture quality will be 480x620. If I had been aware of these two points beforehand, there is absolutely no way I would have even bothered to place an order.

Good over short distances, but it has its quirks.
Fairly easy to connect up, but the lag between sound and vision (especially when someone is speaking - lip sync) meant we had to buy better quality HDMI cables and though improved it still happens. Also, in snooker for example, rolling balls don't run smoothly. Probably the most annoying of all is that our satellite remote control causes our second TV in a different room to turn on. The only solution seems to be to unplug it. Frustratingly I haven't been able to determine what causes this (sorted - see below). However, having taken these into consideration, the picture and sound quality is far better than our previous video transmitter. Given that the transmitter and receiver are less than 10 metres apart, separated by a wood and glass partition, I doubt this equipment is suitable for transmission through a brick wall. Asked by Amazon to comment on "sheerness" I haven't a clue what this means.EDIT: If you plug the little control "mouse" into the socket on the transmitter and cover it to block the signal the remote TV no longer switches on.

Bin-850 version works with my Virgin 360 Box
The Bin-850 model works with my Virgin 360 box. My TVs aren't HD so I can't comment on if the image is HD, but I am happy with this solution. I did have to update one of my 10 year old receiving TVs to get the whole image visible on the screen.I contacted the seller to get a 2nd receiver. They told me to order using the non-Prime seller option & they would refund 1/2 the price & only send me the receiver, which they did. I can now watch the same channel in 3 different rooms, which is what I wanted. The Virgin 360 remote operates on RF not IR so I haven't tried the IR extender. There are some comments on the web saying that you can link a universal IR remote to the 360 box, but I can use the original remote in the bedroom above the 360 box (& in the kitchen) to change channel etc so I haven't tried this. Virgin only allow you to have 1 remote paired to the 360 box at a time so you do have to carry it around with you...

It gives me problems after a month
It works fine in the first (2 or 3) hours, but loses signal as it warms up.

Transmits video and audio clearly, IR control function works perfectly.
I bought these to replace an older set that I've had for years, which allowed me to watch satellite TV in other rooms and also control my Sky satellite box from these other rooms. For some reason my older set started affecting the stability of my 5GHz WiFi. No WiFi interference so far with this new set though. Video and audio is also clearer, compared to the older set. There is the odd glitch if people are moving around and walk in front of the transmitter, but this is to be expected. I've had it working horizontally at a distance of about 5m through a stud-partition internal wall, and vertically at a distance of about 3m through a plasterboarded/floorboarded ceiling. For the more technically-minded, it's a shame that the description doesn't mention the frequency that each of the 24 channels uses. Having this information would help with choosing the best channel to avoid interfering with WiFi, rather than having to choose one by trial-and-error.All in all, a very good product though!

Rubbish kit, waste of valuable time.
Setup is plug and play initial set went spot on, come to do my professional presentation let me down massively 2hours trying to get the transmitter and receiver to pair, reset, un plugged 10 times, would not play ball, receiver and transmitter only 5 meters apart. Tat you know where! I would not believe the positive reviews at all.

Works ok as long as you’re still
Easy to install and nice and small. I have it going from one room to another and it’s ok when no one is moving around. But any movement and all you get is static and unwatchable then. It’s fine.
