Backup photos on the go without a computer for photographers
I was long looking for an affordable solution to backup my photos while traveling without a computer. This WLAN router has a SD card reader and USB-A connector to use an external SSD/ HD or USB-Stick. You can charge it with USB-C and also use it as a battery pack (6000mAh). Copying a SD card to a SSD disk takes 1 min 12 sec. for 1 GB of data. You can also stream from your SSD or USB stick to your phone or tablet - up to 5 devices. The available app for phone/tablet and the web interface works okay. The NEWQ Filehub router is technically identical to the RAV AC750 file hub... in summary a great and affordable solution for me to backup on the road. I would buy this product again and recommend it for this use case.

As someone constantly on the move and in need of a reliable way to manage data and stay connected, discovering the NewQ Filehub AC750 Travel Router has been a game-changer. Here’s why this compact device is now a staple in my travel gear: Ease of Use: Setting up the NewQ Filehub was surprisingly straightforward. Within minutes of unboxing, I was able to connect it to my devices and start transferring files. Its user-friendly interface ensures that even those not tech-savvy can navigate its features with ease. This simplicity is a huge plus when you’re dealing with the stresses of travel. Data Management: The primary reason I sought out the NewQ Filehub was for offloading photos from my camera to free up space for more captures. This device exceeded my expectations in this regard. The transfer speeds were impressive, allowing me to quickly and efficiently manage my photos and videos without the hassle of lugging around a laptop. It supports various storage media, making it versatile enough for all my devices. WiFi Sharing: The ability to create a private WiFi network in hotel rooms or any place with a single wired or wireless connection has been incredibly useful. The WiFi performance is robust, offering speeds that allowed me to stream videos, browse the internet, and upload content without any noticeable lag. Sharing the connection with multiple devices was seamless, which came in handy when traveling with friends and family. Portability: The compact size of the NewQ Filehub AC750 is perfect for travel. It fits easily into my camera bag or backpack, taking up minimal space. Despite its small footprint, it feels durable and capable of withstanding the rigors of travel. Battery Life: The built-in battery not only powers the device for router and file hub operations but can also charge a smartphone in a pinch. This dual functionality adds an extra layer of utility, especially when power outlets are scarce. Final Thoughts: The NewQ Filehub AC750 Travel Router has proven to be an indispensable tool for my travels. It simplifies the tasks of offloading camera files and sharing WiFi, all while being incredibly easy to use and transport. For anyone looking to streamline their data management and internet connectivity on the road, I cannot recommend this device enough. It’s a small investment that pays off big in convenience and efficiency, making it a must-have for travelers.

WOW
Love, love, love it. I used to off load photos and videos from our dash cam to my phone using an SD card reader. This device does all the sane work without tying up my phone. Now I just take the SD card out of the Dash Cam and plug it into the Hub. Press the backup button and watch all the files transfer over to a 1Tbye USB drive. Hub even has enough battery to power the external USB drive. There is a video review that claims the power connector is Micro USB. That might have been at the time video was posted. My unit came with a USB C connector. Only a couple of minor complaints and one improvement. First complaint is that the throughput when using it as an WiFi extender seems extremely slow. I don't use it much as an extender so it's not that big of deal to me. The second is that the SD card slot broke within first month. I guess removing and inserting SD card a lot did it. I can still read and write data to it, I just can't easily remove card. The button that should eject SD card is stuck in place. Tiny flat head screw driver is now required to remove card. The one improvement I would give it would be to add support for uploading files to Dropbox or One Drive.

Believe all the one star reviews, folks.
What can I say? Why does Amazon feature products that don’t work? (And there are TONS of one star reviews here to support this). Amazon must not mind getting TONS of returns. Youtube has a ZILLION positive review videos on this product (believe me, I watched them all). So I thought that all the one star reviews here might have to so with people just not knowing how to use the product. (I have run into this before). Nope, the folks here are RIGHT. This product is GARBAGE! It transferred the files from my SD card to my SSD drive exactly ONCE and that was it. After that, I was presented time and again with the “FAILED TO COPY” message. Tried different SD cards, tried different SSD drives, all to no avail. So, if you’re thinking of purchasing one of these… DON’T! You’ll just end up returning it (like me).

It is good for families
The truth is that it is an excellent repeater, and can serve as a fantastic small server for use by those who travel with family, and who want to listen to their music and watch movies without the need for the Internet, since they can easily be uploaded to the File Hub and then shared through the internet generated by the equipment. Also this one, unlike the other one I had, also serves as a battery bank to charge the cell phone. It has a good range. I expected that it could already be used as a document replicator, that it would be synchronized with the cloud when it was online. In other words, I could bring all my files to the File Hub and use them while I'm traveling on the plane or anywhere where there is no internet and when connecting it to the network, it would be synchronized automatically with the cloud that I have (in this case with DropBox). Still, I think it's a good buy. not as useful as expected. But it is a good option to have a backup and especially for families that travel.

SD Card Reader Issue Resolved
This is an update to my previous review. I received a replacement for my defective unit and have now changed my opinion of the unit. I have now used the unit with several SD cards (three different brands of SD cards) without any issues. It does take a careful reading of the instructions to get everything set up properly. But once the unit is setup the function of moving files from the SD card to a hard drive works well. This unit is now serving the purpose for which I purchased it, and that is to be a backup for my photos while in the field. ----------------------‐--------------------------------- I had high hopes for this travel router, but I ended up disappointed. I wanted to use this product to download photos from my camera's SD card to a hard drive without a computer. After carefully reading the instructions, I was able to download one SD card without any issues. The next time I tried to use it, the SD card would not lock into the card reader. I tried several SD cards, but none of them worked. I also tried the cards in another card reader, and there were no problems with the cards. Since I had the travel router for less than two weeks, I decided to return it because of the card reader failure.

SD Copy function is unreliable but Travel Router function works fine
I purchased this device to be able to backup SD Cards from my camera without connecting my laptop or phone but found that this functionality is unreliable. I would have rated it lower but the other functions work fine and I can work around the SD Copy issue by using the phone or web page to ensure that the the SD Card and USB drive are recognized before using the SD Copy function. This reduces the utility of the device but it does work. In my case, the frustrating thing was that the SD Copy LED would flash like it was doing the backup, but when I looked at the USB Flash Drive later, I noticed that no backup was taken. I ended up using it just as a travel router as that worked well, and just backed up the SD Cards using my laptop. I did not test the use as a charger, but assume that would work fine. I do like that the device provides a web interface so that I can control it with a web browser. not just a smart phone. I do think with the right flash drive, this device may be more reliable for SD Backup but if that is the reason that you are purchasing it, then look for something else as it is very unreliable and will give a false indicator that a backup is taking place when it is not. If you are looking for a travel router, this is a good choice although I like to use a smaller device that I have for that function. Recommendation: Mixed I do not recommend it for SD Backup but if you are looking for a travel router with a built in battery and power bank function, then this is a good choice.

A veritable Swiss Army Knife! Very useful for digital photography!
A surprising and useful little gadget! Very useful for managing digital photography files in the field... I bought the NewQ Filehub AC750 specifically for its SD card backup function, to make complete backups of SD cards in the field. The NewQ Filehub AC750 lets you backup the complete contents of an SD card to a USB thumb drive or USB harddisk drive, quickly and in a single step. This is an important part of my personal digital photography workflow, to produce these complete backups of all the photos on an SD card quickly, without the need for a laptop or a tablet to do it (the unit is powered by an internal rechargeable battery). The unit copies the files from each successive backup session into a new folder that it creates on the USB thumb drive. This makes it a *little more straightforward to keep track of all the files generated in a photography-intensive trip. There's a phone app (referred to in the documentation) to access files on the SD card and the thumb drive from your phone or tablet, though I didn't make much use of it on my recent trip. If this somewhat specialized use case (making backups of the complete contents of an SD card) matches your requirements, the NewQ Filehub AC750 delivers that function very well.

Back up per schede fotografiche sempre
