Review: A wonderful coloring book for ACOTAR fans - If you loved the book series and enjoy unwinding to coloring, then this is just adding a little bit more to your love for Acotar. Most of the illustrations I really like, there's a few I am not a fan of but I don't hate them. It's mostly because they aren't as cohesive to the rest of the art work, that they stand out because I think more than one artist drew the art throughout. But it's not a problem because its only a couple pages and its normal not to absolutely love every page in a coloring book. The paper is pretty thick and I really love the little excerpts throughout for each picture. Great to relive the series. Review: Acotar coloring book - Absolutely stunning. The artwork captures the magic, danger, and beauty of Prythian with incredible detail. Every page feels like stepping back into the story, and the illustrations are rich enough for both simple coloring or full artistic shading. It’s relaxing, immersive, and a perfect treat for any ACOTAR fan.

46 Beautifully illustrated designs based on the Court of Thorns and Roses series – designs printed one side of the book
Attached to this review will be a silent flip-through of the entire coloring book and some sample photos so you can make an informed decision as to whether or not it will work for you. I am really happy with this coloring book (as I was with the book based on Sarah J. Maas “Throne of Glass" series.) The designs are beautifully done by a team of illustrators (Charlie Bowater, Adrian Dadich, Yvonne Gilbert, John Howe, and Craig Phillips.) While their styles differ and once again one artist in particular is quite different in style, each artist is tasked with a series of illustrations which brings a sense of cohesion to the whole book. The 46 designs are based on the three books: “Court of Thorns and Roses”, “Court of Mist and Fury” and “Court of Wings and Ruin”. There is a quote from the book on the facing page of design so you know which book and which scene the design pertains to. This is what I found while coloring in this book and testing the paper with my coloring medium. 46 A Court of Thorns and Roses Designs by five artists Printed one side of page (with book excerpts on the back of the page) Paper is heavy weight, white, ever so slightly rough, and perforated Sewn binding Designs are printed beyond the perforations and merge into the binding. Nothing essential will be lost if you remove pages at the perforations. Alcohol-based markers bleed through this paper Water-based markers, gel pens, and India ink pens did not bleed through the paper. Some gel pens require additional drying time. Colored pencils worked really well with the paper. The slightly rough texture of the paper provided good tooth which allowed pigment to easily adhere to the page. I test both oil and wax based pencils and both worked well. I could layer the same color for deeper pigment, layer multiple colors and blend easily using a pencil style blender stick. If I use alcohol-based markers with this style of book (printed one side of page) but I use a blotter page of card stock under my working page to keep ink from seeping through. I would suggest either using a blotter page or removing the coloring page from the book beforehand if you use alcohol-based markers.

Bought it as a gift
Came in good condition. Gorgeous pictures. Good quality/thick paper. Quotes from the books on the left side to match the pictures on the right. Very lovely. Only concern would be how small the details can be in some of these pictures. May be tedious/difficult to color. The pages are big, though, so it does give you more space to work with.

Absolutely beautiful. A joy to color.
I'm so glad I got this coloring book. The illustrations throughout are gorgeous, and I love the quotes opposite each picture. It's detailed but not to the point of being stressful to color. The pages are nice and thick, smooth to blend. The style in which it's drawn makes for a nice guide if you decide to do some shading. It's been years since I've done any visual art, but I've been relaxing and enjoying this each night. I recommend soft colored pencils as opposed to the harder more waxy ones. I am using Faber Castel soft pencils in the attached photo. I unfortunately tore part of a different page by trying to blend and burnish with pencils that were too firm, so just keep that in mind. Slowly add your layers and enjoy the process.

It's an absolute treat
Beautiful book to color and revisit the world of ACOTAR, the spring court, the surriel, the weavers cottage, Feyre Darling, Rhysand, Vellaris...it's all here waiting for you to bring it to life. Easy tear pages, one sided sheets with book excerpts of the opposite page so you can freely use your media of choice. This was colored with Prismacolor Premiers, and Oahu dual tipped.Alcohol Markers. Enjoy! Worth every penny.

Good quality paper, nice illustrations
First, this coloring book has good quality paper. My Prismacolor colored pencils blend beautifully and I can get nice saturated layers of color! I also tried using watercolor. It didn't soak though the paper but also didn't look very good, as I expected. I wasn't able to get a smooth wash of color. The paper would probably hold up to watercolor pencils. I would like it better if the illustrations had a small blank border, because it's very difficult to color all the way to the edge of the page. I love many of the illustrations, particularly the ones by Charlie Bowater. There are a handful I don't like and will probably never bother coloring, but since I do like more than half it was worth buying the book to get those. I would prefer if all the illustrations were by the same artist, but since I knew that when I bought it it's not a problem. It would just create a more cohesive style. Overall I'm enjoying indulging my inner child with such a detailed and fun coloring book!

STUPENDO
