This Pennington Smart Patch was as easy to use as following the directions on the bag. This grass seed mix includes mulch and fertilizer which helps the grass seed take hold and grow. The quality of the grass is also quite nice and lush when it finally grows in. The only downside is the value for the money as this bag is only good for filling in some bare spots.

I see a lot of reviews on here with complaints about it growing sparsely, etc. This seed is for patching only. There were pictures with light growth over big areas on reviews. This is not meant for large areas. It comes with mulch in it to help cover the seeds and so you know when to water. I have had a wonderful experience with this. Not only is it great for the money, but it beats out Scott's grass seed by a mile! When applied appropriately and in patchy spots, it does well! Mine was up in 4 days. And a month later the grass is blending in with the rest of the lawn. At first I wasn't sure I had put down enough. But after watering it twice a day it has grown in thick and full. My neighbor said it's the greenest part of my lawn! Definitely a good product!

I had several bald spots in my lawn after dethatching, likely a result of poor root growth due to overwatering. Even though it was practically perfect weather (above 50, lots of clouds rain) and I kept the moisture proper, the germination didn't show results for over a week and even longer in some locations. Also it appears the seeds may not be properly disbursed, because some areas spouted more than others, and lack of product in those areas was not an issue. But all that said, now four weeks out most of the areas have grown out, and I'm sure it will spread. It's still young grass where I'd rather not step on it, but it's mature enough to mow. So unless it doesn't develop properly from here (which I'll report if it happens), I would buy this again.

6 days, water three times a day,, raked the ground, used some turf soil, nothing is happening, and I mean nothing. I've planted regular fescue seed and have seen faster results, I payed extra to get not existent results. Also coverage was definitely not what the bag said.

Certain five or Six days Grassle start and I haven’t seen anything yet. It’s been a week and a half. I’ve been watering it.

Let we start by saying I am a beginner if you will at anything planting our yard related so for this to have worked for me means it absolutely work could work for you. It’s basically full proof. All I did was open the bag rough up the dirt with the rake and then spread it evenly and water every day. I made sure I watered once a day every day for a month about a month and this is what the yard looks like. I know a lot of reviews say that they are paid promotions are a part of a free thing collected by the company, but this is not a paid full price for the product, I was looking for something easy to restore the bald spot that my husband put in the yard by parking his car there and this worked amazingly I had my doubts because of the reviews below, but it worked very well for me and I’m extremely satisfied with the product would 100% by the way, I am in North Carolina if that makes any difference and I planted in July

The best grass seed on the market.

I live in Seattle, Washington and purchased this in October. We’re not exactly getting loads of sun right now and I must say.. it works! I do need to advise, you need a lot of this stuff. If you want grass to grow.. it can’t be scattered, you really need to dump it on there to get any decent results. I initially raked the dirt and poured over a 6ft area and saw sporadic grass grow. I moved to different section of yard dumping entire bag over 3 square foot area and saw excellent results after only 3-4 weeks. It’s now mid November and can almost mow my front yard. I would recommend if you’re willing to buy multiple bags or need for small area.
