THINstem Folding Bike Stem

Used it on my Engwe X26. Easy to install and is a tremendous help for storing my bike in the garage and putting it in the back of my car!

While I wish this was a little less expensive, I wouldn't want this part to be "cheap."So far, it seems like a great part which does exactly what it's supposed to do. There's a little play in it when not locked so it's possible to tighten it down slightly off center; something to keep an eye on but no big deal.

Very sturdy, no sloppiness or looseness when turning the handlebars. This makes living in a small studio apartment with a bicycle indoors so much easier! I also bought their removable pedals, and now my bike hides behind my blackout curtains and takes absolutely no space!

Saves a lot of space in a tight garage situation.

Works as expected but overpriced. Cables do get in the way when folding/unfolding. The folding bar does hit into the protruding part of the stem and wears off the finish a bit. Design could be improved and lighter in weight. I had to add another headset spacer since my existing stem was a bit taller on the steerer tube. Overall, it turns the handlebar 90 degrees and allows for convenient storage in tight spaces.

A well-made stem, with a simple but clever design. In order to rotate 90°, it's designed slightly taller than standard (which I appreciate). The concept of making a bike flat for storage in close quarters is more than intriguing -- it's an invention others will imitate.

Thank you Thinstem! I have always had issues with storing and traveling with bikes. Most recently we purchased folding peddle assist bikes. How convent! Wrong, the handlebars are totally in the way when trying to load the bike. Thinstem solved the issue, now the handlebars fold to match the bike profile. Easy to install and easy to use.

Stem keep loosening up. Clamp stretches. Gonna try some shims to get the adjustment back. Pricey for having to work on it.
