Great microscopic attachment to your iPhone camera
It’s cool to have this lens so I can capture magnified images of various objects. To get sharp images it requires some practice to find the right distance between iPhone camera and objects. The LED light button can be improved. It does great job with the value. It comes with a charger for the LED light, a storage bag and instruction. I took images of table salts and a plant leaf. I was impressed how the images turned out. The lens attachment is small so that I can keep it in my purse.

No where close to what it shows
I have already returned this item within 2 days of getting it. So I did not take a pictures. Sorry. The image they show is correct. My review may sound negative but I am just being honest. I ordered 2 of them (1 for me and 1 for my wife). I played with mine for 2 hours attempting to line it up and see the magnification. Here is my 2 cents... 1. It does not lock into place on the IPhone. 2. It has to sit just perfectly to get it to "line up" 3. When you can see an image....if you move....it moves too so you lose the image. 4. I found it frustrating to use and only got a clear image 3 times but it lasted seconds each time. For the price they were asking for this device....I expected more. It was not functionable No locking mechanism Moves around too easily Sliding the the device up and down...just not a way to use itl Nothing like the pictures or videos. They need to go back to the drawing board on this item. The worst part is that I am a Tech Geek and I had issues!! No thanks. They did ship it on time and It arrived but just not worth it.

If you like extreme close-up photography on your phone, this is what you want!
This is a new twist on phone photography. Using a clip that places the "microscope" over the camera lens, it provides massive magnification. You simply place the "microscope" over your phone camera lens and then place that directly on your subject. What makes this very special is the ring light around the microscope assuring both even light and 2 different intensities. I found that the lower intensity was enough. It is best used when you can place the subject on a flat surface so that the plane is also flat for full sharp focus. It also works best on completely stationary subjects. Motion is greatly magnified when you are that close. I used this on my 1x magnification lens of my iPhone 12 Pro, but it is clearly designed to be used on any phone on the market. It would be a very good idea to have a screen protector on the phone. The clip that holds the "microscope" in place will go over your screen, and to make it stable it is very tight. I did not try this on any slides, but I could see how it would work very well! I tested it on my blue jeans, my finger, some small plants, a rust spot on a handrail, a leaf, a US quarter and a stamp. Let your imagination go and have a ball!

In a perfect world, maybe...
I feel I'm being generous to a fault, giving this product 3 stars, and they're mostly based on good faith that its image quality delivers as promised. I never got that far. The fatal flaw is how it attaches to your phone and aligns with your phone's camera lens. In a single phrase, this can be best described as "trial and error". Emphasis on error. The microscope has a tiny, nearly invisible aperture on its underside that is meant to be positioned carefully and directly over your phone's primary lens. How do you position it? Trial and error until the black areas at the edges of your image are minimized. The scope is held on by a rubber-coated metal spring clip: a detail that the sellers seem reluctant to illustrate. Can you use it with your phone in a protective case? No. Okay, you say, I can live with trial and error; I can live with removing the case -- consider that you have to do this EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO USE IT. If you have to do this every time, the thing you want to photograph, or the light, will have moved on before you can take the shot. You cannot leave it on your phone, unless this phone is to be dedicated to nothing but microphotography. And, if that's how you want to use it, you're far better off with a digital microscope or a camera with a macro lens.

Fiddly to use, but great when it does
I bought this specifically to inspect the needle on my turntable. I was curious to see what state it was in as I was about to play some new 180g audiophile vinyl. Getting this aligned on my iPhone 11 was very fiddly. The microscope slides around too easily on the phone, and you need to be really precise about aligning it with the iPhone's lens. It's also way too easy to dislodge once you have alignment. The other challenge is that the microscope lens has to be almost touching the object you want to examine. That was easy with the vinyl record (see picture), but harder to do with the needle. When I got everything aligned the image quality was great. You can see how much detail is visible in the pictures of the record that shows a lot of debris, and the needle. It was cool to see how dirty and clogged up the needle was, and the effect of cleaning it. Note that the 200X magnification is not the magnification of the microscope, but its magnification plus the iPhone's pinch zoom, so that's a bit misleading. I'd recommend it for patient people who are willing to deal with its usability challenges. It might be too patience challenging for young kids though.

Sweet balance between serious and fun
This phone lens is most definitely worth the money. It is compact and universal. It works from the get-go, does not need adjustment, and holds tight to the smartphone. It has been ideal for bringing over nature trips to observe little critters with my kids. It is also helpful for a beginner collector like me to uncover the truth behind my favorite coin. Combined with my Moto G Power 2012, the lens allows me to take reliable pictures of excellent quality at different resolutions.

Lousy product. Doesn't seem to work with Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which has 3 built in lenses on the back of the phone. The macro lens is too low for the microscope to clip on, making it not feasible to use. I'll be returning this product. Idea was cool but it doesn't work.
