Features 4 bonus tracks: "Call It Pretending" (B-side of early CCR single), "Before You Accuse Me" (1968 outtake), "Ninety-Nine And a Half" (live-The Fillmore San Francisco 1969), and "Suzy Q" (live-The Fillmore San Francisco 1969). Review: Hint" this could make a great gift for your grandparents and a boatload of memories ... - First album with John C Fogerty at the helm. From the opening track, you know he meant business. Underground covers of Susie Q, the full version here, and his own contributions, remastered and expanded with bonus tracks, which is a special feature on all 6 studio albums re released since Fantasy records was finally sold., ending the constant repackaging of the hits throughout the 70's. 80's and 90's. It may sound tepid now, but at the time of it's release, it caused a minor earthquake, quickly followed by the 2nd release, Bayou Country. which created an all out Tsunami. There are no 'hits' per se, but alot of now classics. To me, hearing this when it came out, it is still an unpretentious classic, as are all of the albums in the CCr cannon, save for Mardi Gras......more on that later. Hint" this could make a great gift for your grandparents and a boatload of memories for the aging baby boomers......sigh.....toss this in my coffin before you close the lid....... Review: Good Album - I am a Creedence Clearwater Fan from the get-go. I Put A Spell On You is such a good song and a Must-Have and Suzie Q, the all-time favorite! The Whole album is a good one. The only complaint I have is that the shipping bubble envelope is not enough protection from heavier objects in the mail-bag, thereby damaging the crystal cases. I had to return FIVE CD's because of this problem. When they are BRAND NEW, there is a certain level of expectation required on my end.

Nice to have my favorite Creedence album on CD.
I first bought this vinyl LP when it came out in 1968. It was the 2nd or 3rd album I bought as a kid. Nice to hear it again on CD. This is my favorite Creedence music.

Hat's off to Abbey Road
This is an incredible job of transferring this master tape to vinyl. It has the clarity, dynamics and separation of a 1967 album like I've never heard before. These half-speed masters are well worth the money. About the closest you're going to get to the master tape. Some of the greatest music and greatest sonics available. Job well done!

Noble attempt but working with old tape
This LP has gone in and out of my collections since it came out in 1968. This is probably the cleanest pressing, and the half speed mastering delivers on detail and crispness. Bass is superb: Stu Cook shines on this disk. But alas, I can tell they mastered this from old analog tape, which slowly demagnetizes over time. So what is missing is the sense of room sound, of transparency, that I heard on the first pressing but has been missing from all reissues. It's satisfying and good value for the money, but if you want the full experience you will have to pay a lot more for an original pressing -- or get lucky at Goodwill.

Classic John Fogerty! Takes me back to my teenage years!
I’ve always been a huge fan of CCR. Great CD! If you are a CCR fan then you won’t go wrong buying this.

A SUPERB ALBUM
A superb album of commendable songs from a stellar group. Even the "bonus songs" are palatable for a pleasant change.

In the Beginning ...
Good but not peak CCR. Nevertheless, this is essential for any true fan of the band. The group's humorous but obviously respectful take on Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You" and (in two parts on the original 45 rpm) an equally classic extended workout on the rockabilly classic "Suzie Q" are contained within these grooves. The record doesn't have the consistency (or originality) that emerged soon after but it's still a hell of a lot of rockin' fun. Think of this album as a good natured tune-up.

Legendäre Platte - nicht nur für CCR Fans
Eine der ersten oder sogar die erste Platte der legendären Creedence Clearwater Revival. Erstaunlich druckvoller Klang. Nicht nur für Fans von CCR. Ehrliche "handgemachte" Rockmusik aus einer wunderbaren Zeit.
