Best figs around
I used to get Calimyrna Figs from my local grocery store, along with some mission figs. I like the mission figs, but I really love the Calimyrna Figs. I was VERY disappointed when the store stopped carrying them, thinking they were just out, but every store I went to stopped carrying them, I had no idea why! I kept putting off buying them here, until recently, and when they arrived, I couldn't wait to open the bag. I can't tell you how really wonderful and moist they were straight out of the bag when still a little warm from the travel to my house. Even my wife liked them, and she isn't a fig lover. They really were great. I put them in the fridge as they say to keep it refrigerated when opened, although the past figs I bought I never did that, and had no problems, but since this was such a large bag, I thought it best. They are a little tougher after being cold for a while, and maybe a little shock in the microwave might moisten them up a bit, (I have often soaked dried dates in water for 10 or 15 minutes when this happened with good results) but most of the time, I usually pack a baggie full of them and eat them at work as a snack over a weeks time. If you like these figs, don't hesitate getting them, (if you've never tried them your missing a treat) especially if you can't get them at your local stores. They'll last a while, 40 ounces is a lot. About 13 of them weigh 8 oz, which makes about 65 per bag, and I usually eat 3 or 4 at a time. Not a bad deal at all. I will most definitely get more of these as they get eaten up.

hasty nasty taste
after these finally arrived my wife took 1bite of the original fig and spit it out she says it tasted like soap. i told her to try another flavor so she tried the strawberry same thing she took the rest of them to her job and 1 person tried the blueberry and couldn't get it out of her mouth fast enough.she then tried everything to get the taste out of her mouth

Perfect in every way
I put these in a mason jar that I keep in the fridge at work and everyone is so creeped out by them that no one bothers to steal my snack! Good thing, because if they tasted these ugly (whitened natural sugar coated) treats they would eat them right up! Can’t judge a book by it’s cover! I don’t always eat the stem, but sometimes I do when I don’t have a compost bin around. About 2-3 of these is such the perfect snack with a cup of tea. They are less sweet tasting than dates and have just a tiny bit of tartness for balance. These were nice and plump and just as fresh as any I’ve had in the past. Love that they are organic and love that this is such a great deal that I can get without having to drive 30 minutes to the health food store. Subscribe and save worthy for sure!

Fine, but you get a lot of rotten ones
I eat these against my better judgement. Every bag seems to have some really good figs that are exceptionally sweet, and then the rest are a gamble. The figs are inconsistent in size, color, shape, and edibleness. Anywhere from 1/4 to 1/3 of every bag is sour or rotten and has to be thrown away. I've had more than a dozen bags of these figs and it's the same story with every bag. Happy Village brand organic figs are better. They are consistent in size, shape, color, and sweetness and you'd be better off trying that brand. I wasn't paid or compensated for this review, I just like figs and try a lot of different brands. But, if this brand is all you can get they are fine.
