We have 2" metal stair posts with wire rails and needed something that could easily attached to the posts to allow us to install a baby gate. This worked perfectly. It was easy and intuitive to install and is sturdy enough to support the weight of the baby gate, which was critical since we don't have a stud in the wall opposite the stair posts. Would recommend.

I thought these were a bit pricey but needed something for installing pet gate at top of stairs with metal railing. I needed two and they cost more than the gate itself. I struggled with install because I had to cut the wooden piece shorter to fit on my railing. They work, and it’s a good idea, I just wish they were prettier, but they are definitely functional and the only way I could have installed the gate with my metal railing.

Installation for this product was relatively easy. It took about 30 minutes to get everything done but in the end the panel is so secure it feels like part of the bannister. No independent movement at all! The only thing I’ll say is that I wish it included some sort of safety caps for when you actually install the baby gate. Most baby gate screws are pretty long and do poke through the other side a little. Not an issue if you’re securing to a single bannister. But if you’re attaching between spindles you may have some exposed screw tips sticking out the back.
