Christmas Light Company Storage Bag Red

When this arrived I asked myself, "Where is the other half?" The picture seemed to show a big set of reels and bag - well, the reels seem tiny until you start wrapping your strands of lights on them. You can get quite a few lights on one reel before having to use another reel. I've put up all my lights in one spot now, used one reel and a half (only Christmas tree lights, not whole house lights), and am pleased with the purchase. A great idea and if durable, a superb purchase on my part. Thanks!

This light reel and storage bag is very nice, but it does not hold very many lights...I wonder if the have a larger size? The new lights take up a lot space and three regular mini sets more than fill the reels. One per reel is all. My icicle lights would not fit. But it is a great idea and if they were big enough for the icicle lights and the LED's they would be perfect. Thank you Amazon for the fast shipping!

This is the best and most efficient way to store Christmas lights. My wife says I put up too many, so I need a decent amount of storage for my exterior illumination kit at home.This one is small, so get the bigger one.My wife says I cross the line between nice and tacky, I say more lights is better! We got over 1000 up this year and I'll be getting more when they go on sale, you can bet your ass on that!

We bought a reel storage bag a couple of years ago and it was large enough to hold all out indoor and outdoor lights (until we bought more).This thing is so small that it only holds one string of lights per reel. That's 3 stings in total and I'm not talking about extra-long strings or massive bulbs. These are the regular size lights that you'd buy at Target or Wal Mart. We have four strings on our tree so I can't even get a tree's worth on it.They don't list the dimensions in the description and "600 mini lights" sounds like a lot. It isn't. Each reel is 8.5" in diameter and the center hub is 4.5" so that doesn't leave much room for lights. Additionally, unlike the photo, the center hub doesn't have a place to put the plugs anymore.Very disappointing.

I purchased this to wind up long LAN cables with that I use on occasion. I found one reel will hold 100' of CAT5e cable if wound somewhat neatly. Sturdy construction and nice thick bag are a plus. Speaking from experience, don't leave them in your car on a hot day or the plastic reels will deform. (D'oh!) They're still usable, just not as nice as new. Works great to store amateur radio coax too, as long as it's not much thicker than RG-8x. Oh, and unwinding is a breeze with a helper holding the reel with a long screwdriver pushed through the center hole.

Yes, the wheels are nice. Clever to hold the ends, and you can put a pencil or rod through the center so it unwinds. But it states a capacity of 200 lights per wheel. I was able to wrap two 100 light strands around the wheel, but then could not get the wheel to fit in the bag. The bag allows for no expansion, and there is zero clearance beyond the edge of the wheel. I tried several different techniques to wrap the lights, and nothing worked. I ended up buying twice what I originally thought I would need, just to holds all my lights. Pretty much one 100 mini-light strand per wheel is the max - maybe a 150, but I don't have any of those. I was less than pleased, but busy and tired of looking for a different solution, so I am making do.

It is as advertised, good quality, fits quite a few lights and it does not take a whole lot of space. Best part that lights are neatly packed. So far it is best reels we had so far.

As many others have pointed out,this bag is smaller than expected. I found each reel will hold about one of the tiny 100 LED light strings. And at that, I had a hard time getting the bag to close with three reels. Other than that, it is fine (I ordered a second bag for three more 70 LED light strings, which I expect will fit perfectly).
