High quality, good price. As a group for a single project, I bought the Legrand - Pass & Seymour 3804 50 Amp Straight Blade Single Receptacle; Leviton 279-S00 50 Amp, 125/250V, Nema 14-50R, 3P, 4W, Flush Mounting Receptacle; Leviton 83026 2-Gang Flush Mount 2.15-Inch Diameter, Device Receptacle Wallplate (2); Hubbell-Raco 683 Two-Device Switch, 4-Inch X 2-1/8-Inch Deep Square Electrical Box (2); and the 50' 8/3 SOOW SO Portable Power Cord Outdoor Durable Flexible Wire Cable 600V, to make a 30 foot extension cable that goes from my 220 VAC dryer connection to the other end of my patio where I have a welding station setup. It’s a project that I am excited about completing because of the freedom it will give me and I won’t have to stumble over extension cords on the floor.

It was as good and easy as it could be for me to DIY install this and hook up the very large conductors to create an outlet to supply 40 A - 240V AC for the Level 2 Charger in my garage. Took me about a half hour to mount the junction box and run in the conductors and hook it up to this receptacle and then mount the receptacle in the box add the cover plate and its weather proof cover. However it took maybe four times that long to read up on how to do this and find the right fasteners to mount the box, and get everything ready and cut to the right lengths etc. Not to mention the week it took to figure out what junction box to buy. You want a deeper than normal square (4 gang) box with the right configuration of places to receive the screws from mounting this device centered in the box. you want plenty of room for bending and routing the large conductors within he box.

The plug was very easy to wire, but the the install into an electrical box was not what I expected. Being a 240VAC outlet, I expected I could use the existing dryer 240VAC box, but it required a size specific to the outlet, which was a lot smaller and a tighter fit for outlet and wiring. Easy to insert and pullout the mating male plug.
