JJC Reversible Lens Hood Shade Protector for Canon PowerShot SX70 HS and SX60 HS Camera Replaces Canon LH-DC90

There are several different lens hoods that you can find on Amazon for the SX70HS. I like this one because it’s the one that consumes the least amount of space when reversed on the lens barrel. I’ve had a couple of these cameras with different lens hoods and I would say that I prefer this one even over the Canon original. This one is quite cheaply made and fairly thin and light, but the reality is lens hoods are basically just bits of plastic and as long as they fit and have the correct shape, you get no additional benefit for more money.

...great for eliminating sun glare. Where the flower petals are, you can see it on the picture...so it's important to spin it to where the petals are on the side.

So far, this seems to be a good, cheaper alternative to Canon's original part (which I already bought for an SX50HS). Fits directly on the SX70HS lens (no adapter needed). I had no issue attaching it. Clicks on, won't fall off by itself. I am happy with this product
