MSI does it again.... Best CARD EVER!
*Update* After owning this card for almost 2 years now, I'm still using it to run every game I play. I haven't had one issue yet with this card, and it still outperforms most cars on the market. Obviously it cant do Nvidia's RTX technology, but the performance gal is so small, I'll stick this this one for a while. Such a great product! All I can say, is that this card was money well spent. Every game I've ran so far ran like butter at the highest settings. (For Honor, Resident Evil 7, Witcher 3) There shouldn't be a review less than 5 stars. The reviews that had a lesser rating were based on the reviewer's discontent with the price a "Third Party Seller" was trying to scalp this card for. If you're patient and wait for Amazon to have this in stock, it will only be $749.99. Ok.. back to the actual review. This card runs quiet and cool. I was actually worried at first because the fans will not spin unless the card hits a certain temperature, which in itself is awesome. I never thought I would see a graphics card run at 28 degrees C with 0 fan speed. At this stage, I have not attempted an overclock because I haven't needed to. Unless you're just trying to achieve a high benchmark score, there really is no necessity to overclock. MSI is an amazing company, and I see why they're the world leader in certain categories. If you're able to get this card, get it. You won't be disappointed.

A cult classic
I use this for my secondary computer, it's pretty good for older titles that aren't as graphic intense. The video quality is good, the size is smaller than modern GPU's which can be good or bad. It's very easy to install. You can find better in terms of value for money now. But I do love the graphics card.

Be patient and purchase from MSI at retail price
Shame on those who rated this product one star strictly because of third-party price gouging. I purchased this card at the $750 retail price and I can attest that it is a very well-rounded card. The 1080 Ti card is similar in design to the previous MSI Gaming X generations, with an included backplate (big plus in looks as well as protecting the circuit board from dust) as well as increased thickness due to a larger heat sink. The twin fans are surprisingly quiet compared to my 970 Gaming X when ran at 100% speed, and after reviewing temperatures I can say that this model is a comparable alternative to water-cooling. Software comes with a simple one-button overclock setting as well as the ability for setting custom clocks/voltages via MSI Afterburner. In conclusion, I would say that this model is currently the definitive version of the 1080 Ti card due to its quietness, cooling capabilities, and out-of-the box clock speeds.

A fantastic card!
I have had this GPU for over a year now and it still runs just as solid as day one. The card very quiet, even while at high fan speeds (full speed though can be a bit noisy, it is a lower frequency though, not that high pitched fan noise.) The card blows through every game I have thrown at it with ease, while maintaining good temps. I am more than happy with this product, and have had no issues with it. It does have red on the physical card so keep that in mind if your build is color specific, but fits beautifully in builds utilizing any red. Now that I have spent some time with it, I do think I would like to get a second eventually .

Quet and powerfull.
This card is a beast, and yet it is nearly silent. Even using the Heaven Benchmark on highest settings it stays relatively cool and quiet, reaching a peak of 75 degrees Celsius after running Heaven for 15 minutes. On idle, the fans don't spin at all, and the temperature gets as low as 27 degrees Celsius. Running Heaven at maximum settings and at 1080p resolution, the lowest FPS I noticed was 76 FPS. There is no coil whine when running Heaven or 3D Mark. The only program that I've run that creates any coil whine is Folding@Home, and even then it is just a slight coil whine (hate to do it, but have to deduct a star for that). I have heard that coil whine usually decreases after several weeks of use; I sure hope so. I will update my review again within 30 days.

Looks good for 4k gaming!
After a long wait and tons of refreshing of Amazon, I was able to get this at the standard retail of $749. Most of the negative reviews were of early price-gouging 3rd party vendors. Be patient; don't pay more than $749 for this! I set out in early March to build a new 4k gaming rig but decided to hold off and wait for the custom 1080 Tis to be available. I just couldn't go for a Founder's Edition flavor knowing that there were opportunities to get custom cards with better features and cooling weeks later either at the same $699 price point of the FE or slightly higher. I had my eye on the Gaming X because it was getting a thumbs up from professional reviewers earlier on in March before most vendors' cards. And I pulled the trigger on it because it was the first custom 1080 Ti card on Amazon that I could get into my shopping cart at normal retail price :-) It has worked fine so far for me. I am running a i7-7700k with this and can get 41-60fps playing Mass Effect Andromeda @ 4k resolution. Average fps seems to be in the 50s. I read a professional review of Andromeda where the reviewer was playing it with an i7-6700k with a 1080 gpu and got 37 fps. The 1080 Ti is supposed to be 30% better than the 1080 and custom 1080 Tis another 5-7% on top of that, so the results I see with my Gaming X certainly seem to fit. And, I saw a different professional review of Andromeda that got 41-47 fps with a i7-7700k and a 1080 Ti (probably FE). Of course, I realize that these are inexact, crude comparisons. I mention it only to say that thus far, this card seems to be performing as it should be.

Very happy customer
I bought this card 'open box' from Amazon and it was almost perfect. The "packaging has damage" message in the listing just meant that the box was opened, which may not be the case in all cases, but I was mighty pleased. The card itself is amazing! The right size for my case, smaller than some, but I like how it allows the air to flow better through the case. It also hasn't suffered from the same plague of overkill RGB disease that many others have succumbed to in recent years. Admittedly, if red isn't your color, you'll want to look at some of the other MSI offerings with different lighting options. Performance wise, I have been very happy! I've had AMD cards from MSI and this 1080ti variant is very good. I couldn't be happier, especially trying to get one doing early 2018!

This was my first disappointment. I had bought this card for my son's ...
First of all, when I received the card, which I bought labeled as "new" I received an open box. This was my first disappointment. I had bought this card for my son's birthday for hi new computer. When I opened the Amazon box to find an lightly worn box I figured it'd be fine as long as it worked and all the pieces seemed to be in there. When it was time for my son to install the card and processor (bought with graphics card), the card fired up perfectly normally and the computer was running fine. When he went to test out a game after spending an hour downloading it he seemed disappointed. Apparently, this card was giving him exactly as much power as the graphics card in his old computer. His frame rates were were not on par with what MSI's website advertises. Had to return the graphics card, will be looking elsewhere for another.

amazing
wow this card is a beast first off it came really fast about 3 days and also came with destiny 2 which was a plus its also cool that when the temps get low the fans shut down making less noise the fans on the card do a great job at keeping it cool over all a great card although msi's software ex gaming app looks great but for some reason I cant install it says install intel me driver version and I haven't really figured that all out yet but over all its a really good cards passing 100 fps in rainbow 6 on ultra settings btw this is with a i7 7700k at 4.9 ghtz

The best GPU to buy after RTX Prices.
This is hands down the best GPU to buy even in 2019 if you're looking for a high-end GPU. Problem is nobody is selling it for cheap anymore, because people have realized its true value. It might not have RTX, but it is still beats the 2080, thanks to its 11GB Vram. It is not segmented like the 970 and has full access. Games like Skyrim are a breeze to play with 300+ mods installed. Because of how Windows Memory subsystem works, it is recommended to have 32GB RAM to run this GPU without pagefile for maximum performance. MSI warranty don't have a good reputation in India, but their quality when it comes to GPUs cannot be matched. Last, but each game runs brilliantly at 1440p with ultra settings. Even Crysis 3 can give 60fps easily. This is one beast of a card.
