If used like a watercolor stick, can you write with a marker over it once it's dry?

Ok, I just tried that with a gelato and white watercolor marker. It seemed to work fine, as a bonus, the gelato did not discolor the marker nib. I did use a heat gun to dry the wet gelato.

I want to order the pastel colors, but Picture and description colors don't match??
