Blends in easily, smooth liquid, smells pleasant, reef safe. Sadly discontinued?
This is probably my favorite mineral sunscreen - and sadly seems to have been discontinued -- probably due to so many negative reviews from people who can't be bothered to actually take the time to properly rub the sunscreen into their skin. So, instead, they came up with a makeup-tinted version that will leave stains on your clothes. Great work, everyone! This has the nicest texture - liquidy and blends in much more easily than other mineral sunscreens without leaving a cast. It also doesn't feel as greasy or film-solidifying pore-clogging as some others (like Coppertone), so I'm comfortable using this on my face.Lastly, I like that this is available in SPF 30 so that *some* sun can get to my skin. I do like Vitamin D and getting a little color. Many SPF50s will leave my skin looking winter-ghostly all summer long if I use them consistently.Love that it is reef safe and doesn't contain chemicals that may not be very healthy.

The Best Sunscreen I’ve Tried—Effective and Reliable!
The Australian Gold Botanical SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Lotion is hands down the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. I constantly recommend it to my relatives and friends because it truly stands out in terms of performance and ingredients. This sunscreen is made with non-chemical sunblock, which makes it a great choice for those who are conscious about the ingredients they apply to their skin. The mineral-based formula is gentle yet highly effective, providing excellent protection against the sun’s harmful rays. I’ve used it extensively at the beach, and it has consistently kept my skin safe and sunburn-free.The lotion has a nice, lightweight texture that absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. It also has a pleasant, subtle scent that isn’t overpowering. The formula is perfect for daily use or for extended sun exposure, and it doesn’t irritate my skin or clog my pores.

Bring Back Botanicals
It is very unfortunate that Australian Gold is phasing out their non-tinted sunscreens. I can’t wear tint on my neck with a white dress shirt. I like the nude tint for my face. But, white cast is minimal if you rub it is well. So, if I had to choose to use only one, I’d choose the botanical line.I like the smell of the botanical line of products by the way.

Very Good, but Could Be Better!
In my never-ending quest to find a non-drying, moisturizing, easy to spread, environmentally responsible, healthy mineral sunscreen, this one is . . .acceptable to good. Good because I don't think the ideal product exists. This product has a rating of 4 (1 being best, 10 being worst) on the Environmental Working Group scale. Which is, as I said, acceptable. Most of the ingredients rank in the EWG green and yellow zones, but the fragrance is in the red zone with a low 8 score. I have to admit it smells good, but I care less about scent than I do about my (and my child's) lung health and immune system. If the company made a change to a different, healthier fragrance this would tip the scales to a 5 star review!I gave this 4 stars because in comparison, an EWG score of 4 is not terrible, and this meets most of my other requirements:- It doesn't dry out my skin or irritate it- It spreads easily and I can apply it to a wiggly kid without too much fuss- It absorbs well and doesn't leave a white film if you rub it in thoroughly. Note ALL mineral sunscreens initially go on slightly white. This is unavoidable.- It's active ingredients are titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. It does NOT contain the primary chemicals known to cause harm to coral reefs: oxybenzone, octinoxate, octocrylene, 4-MBC, benzophenone-3, methoxycinnamate and butylparaben.- To date, it's done its job. While we do our best to stay out of the sun for too long and wear protective clothing, but when we've been out in the sun for longer periods of time, no one has gotten burned. And yes, we've used it in the water and have not applied more often than every hour to our fair skin.- The price is reasonable.Let's see how closely this company is monitoring their Amazon reviews. Perhaps my fragrance change suggestion will be taken under consideration!PS - I am a real person with real reviews that I am not paid or compensated for in any way. I rely on other shoppers to provide thoughtful and considerate reviews to guide my purchasing decisions, so I like to provide the same service to others. I get really frustrated when multiple 5 star reviews of products are clearly written by the same person (with the same grammatical errors). Please check out my other reviews and use the Comment or Ask a Question feature if you need more info. I'm happy to respond.

Better than expected
I have been on the hunt for a sun screen that doesn’t have a white cast, isn’t sticky or greasy and lasts hours. For 2 years I was using SkinCeuticals spf 50 Sheer Physical UV Defense. My most recent bottle all of a sudden just got weird on me and wouldn’t blend well. For an expensive product this was disappointing. I was in Paris last summer and bought Bioderma Photoderm spf 30 which is fantastic but I can’t find it on any website in the US. I saw YouTuber Angie Hot and Flashy comment the Australian Gold mineral sunscreen was one of her favorites so I decided to try it. I love it! I put on my moisturizer and wait about 5 min then apply the sunscreen to my face, neck, chest, ears. I rub it in really well. It takes a few minutes to dry down nicely but once it dries down it doesn’t leave a white cast, isn’t sticky or greasy and actually makes my skin look nice. I haven’t tried to wear foundation over it so can’t comment about that but I put on a little highlighter and blush on my cheeks and it’s fine. Some people have commented they don’t like the smell but once it dries down it’s a nice scent. For the price this is a great product and I’ll definitely buy it again.

no white cast on asian skin and super waterproof
I have been using the Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen Mineral Lotion for the past few months and I have to say that it is definitely one of the best sunblocks I have ever used. One of the main things I love about this sunscreen is that it is so easy to remove - I just need to use a facial wash and it comes off completely. This is a huge plus for me as I have sensitive skin and some sunscreens can be quite difficult to remove, leaving my skin feeling greasy and clogged.Another great feature of this sunscreen is that it is definitely waterproof. I have worn it while swimming and it has stayed put, protecting my skin from the sun's harmful rays. It is also long lasting, which is great as I don't have to keep reapplying it throughout the day.One thing that I really appreciate about this sunscreen is that it does not leave a white cast on my skin. As an Asian, I have struggled with finding sunscreens that do not leave a noticeable white residue on my skin, but this one does not have that issue at all. It blends in seamlessly and does not leave any noticeable residue.Overall, I am really happy with the Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen Mineral Lotion. It is a great sunblock that is easy to remove, waterproof, long lasting, and does not leave a white cast on my skin. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and effective sunscreen.

Hate the fragrance! Would be 5 stars if it was fragrance free!
This mineral sumscreen is labeled hypoallergenic in multiple places right on the bottle, along with oxybenzone free, phthalate free, non nano, gluten free, pediatrician tested, dermatologist tested, no added parabens, alcohol free, dye free, oil free, PABA free, sulfate free, petrolatum free and BPA free, all great, but then they went and added a strong harsh fragrance! Why, Australian gold, why?! I did a small test patch and the fragrance was overwhelming and immediately made my skin itch. I have tried to wash it off with very generous amounts of soap three times now and can still smell the fragrance on my skin and my skin continues to itch. I would not call this hypoallergenic with the added fragrance. The sunscreen lotion itself felt like it would be really nice, not oily or sticky or hard to rub in like most mineral sunscreens, so I would love a fragrance free version of this, just like the tinted face mineral sunscreen from Australian Gold is fragrance free, which I can use and love. I just don't understand why they went and ruined the body version of their mineral sunscreen with this fragrance!

SPF 30 - For those sensitive to fragrance, the scent might be overpowering...
SPF 30Update:The main purpose of this product was to use it daily on my face. I’ve taken off another star because every time I use it, I end up with a headache from its strong smell. It’s a shame because it’s really a good product.Original:Scent: To me, it's sort of like pineapple mixed with mandarin orange, or maybe piña colada. The scent feels stronger when you use it on your face. The scent being overpowering is the only reason for not giving it 5 stars. People sensitive to fragrances or asthmatics might want to avoid this.Finish and White Cast: It doesn't feel moisturizing at all, nor does it feel sticky or peel off after setting, although this may vary if you apply another product beforehand. At first, your skin will look glowy, but it will become completely matte within 15 minutes. It will not give you a white cast, but if too much is applied, your face might look as if a face powder lighter than your skin color was applied.Removal: For those saying it's hard to remove, this is a mineral sunscreen. The removal method is different from that of chemical sunscreens. It is recommended to double cleanse: use an oil-based cleanser or a cleansing balm first to break down the sunscreen, and then use a gentle foaming cleanser to remove any remaining residue.(It has been said that even plain oil can be used to break down mineral sunscreens, such as coconut oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, baby oil, or mineral oil. Cleansing balms, like Pond's Cold Cream, can also be effective.)

¿Era necesario tanto perfume? :(
