So convient !
I used to have an Alexa with smart plugs that I would use to turn the lights on and off. However when I went to college, the University wifi did not support these kinds of devices and it was really annoying to turn lights on and off. I bought these because they are relatively cheap given that you receive 5 plugs. I am so so happy with these things and recently bought another set to keep in a different room of my apartment.Things I like:I loooove that these come with two remotes. I used a velcro command strip to hang one remote next to my light switch so I can turn lights on when I enter the room. I keep the other one near my bed. I have a bunk bed so it's nice that I can climb into bed with the lights on and then turn the lights off once I'm settled.Aside getting to turn the lights off from bed, these are also convient for turning things on/off in awkward spots. I have a string of lights above the cabinets in my kitchen. The switch for these is also on top of the cabinets so it's really nice to turn these on without having to climb on to my counter top.The plugs have a a gentle 'clicking' sound when it turns on or off. This is helpful for things other than lights or things you can't see. Sometimes I turn stuff off from another room and might not be able to see if it actually turned off. However, if I hear the click, then I know it turned off. This brings up another plus which is that the signal is pretty good. I don't have to be near the switches or point the remote at them to get them to work. I am not sure what the maximum distance between plug and remote is, but they work from one end of my apartment, through walls and all, which is about 40 feet. These things are crazy easy to install. As long as the remotes have their battery (the set comes with two batteries, one for each remote), they instantly connect with their plugs. You don't have to do any calibration whatsoever. You can take the plugs out of the box and immediately start using them. Also, as I mentioned I have two sets of these plugs. There is no remote interface from one room to another. Even if I move the remotes around the apartment, the remotes ONLY work with their designated set.Potential downsides:These plugs do not work with touch-dim lamps. The plug can turn the lamp off but the lamp will not turn on with the plug. The only way to turn the lamp on, is to use the touch-dim button. I'm not sure why this is but beware that these plugs work best with very generic on-off devices. The remotes are kinda small so they can get lost easily. However the distance between each button is pretty good so despite it's small size, you won't have issues clicking multiple buttons at once. Another potential downside about the buttons is that each plug has two sets of buttons- one to turn them on and one to turn them off. When I first saw this design I was kind of annoyed that there was two buttons when there could just be one for each plug. However I have come to really like this. When I leave a room, I don't have to think about which plugs are on and turn just those off, I can simply just swipe my thumb across all the 'off' buttons and make sure everything is off.Another potential downside is the battery. Each remote uses 1 23A battery. Since this is not a common battery, it is kind of annoying to find and buy to replace in the remote. But I don't mind this too much. I have had my first set of plugs for a year and a half already and have only needed to replace one battery in one remote so far. These batteries are also pretty cheap to buy off of Amazon so it's not too bad.Lastly, the plugs are a bit chunky. Sometimes I cannot use them on the same outlet as other devices because they take up so much space. They are also a bit thick so they do not work super well behind furniture-- like if you put a couch up against the wall it is on. I think that is helpful to think about where you will be plugging these in before you buy them.

Love these so much!
These are amazing and a game changer if you have a lot of various lights you like to turn on once it gets dark! Shared this with my family, and we're all using this in our homes - one remote to turn on everything by clicking buttons! I saw the idea in a review, and I'm so happy I did!

Update: remote suddenly “failing” (it’s not the remote)
UPDATE: many people experience the remote suddenly failing to work. My remote finally started showing this behavior a year after my purchase. But I do know what is happening: This happens in the winter or perhaps in a well air conditioned home. The battery gets cold, the juice solidifies and the remote fails to catch a signal. There are three remedies: 1). Hold the remote on a warm part of your body (I tuck it under the back of my knee and tuck in my leg), 2) Take a blow dryer to the remote or 3) Remove the battery and roll it swiftly between your palms to heat it up. This takes about 30 seconds, as does the blow dryer. The first suggestion takes longer. This occurs with many models and it is not the remote that is broke, it is the battery that is too cold. Interesting point: look at the reviews that complain about the remote stopping suddenly, and check out the date of their review. 🙂 They are all in cold months. Other than frigid batteries, this is a very reliable device. Enjoy!OLDER REVIEW:I had a trio of remote outlets I bought back about five years ago for the Christmas tree. They finally gave out on me, but it might be battery related. Either way, I bought new batteries and also bought new remote plugs; this one has five. The buttons on the remote controls are labeled and the plugs (1-3, anyway) work well. The only issue I have is the older plugs I had allowed me to plug my lamps in the side. These only offer a receptacle on the front, making the plug jet out, making it difficult to tuck the cords away.It has a good range. I went clear over to the front of my house to turn on the lamp in the back room, and it easily turned on the lamp through the walls and any other crud I have, taking up space and blocking the plug. This means when I do get my tree up, I can turn the tree lights on and off from my seat.It comes with two remotes. The plugs come with a button on the side to activate the plug. You plug one plug in each device, and both remotes immediately work. No need to sync or pair the remote with the outlet the way you would with Bluetooth.Of course, with two remotes, someone else can have control of your devices. If you’re a control freak, good luck with that! But I like to think of it as having an extra remote to replace one that will no doubt get lost some day.The only way I could handle the previously lost remote issue with the set that only came with one remote, was to turn the lights on and off manually. When I had the lights on, I shifted in my seat and the light suddenly turned off. I found the remote beside my recliner cushion. Then I added a key ring to it and hung it on my metal desk lamp that’s holding all sorts of magnetic gizmos. And in mentioning that, I should add that I glued a small powerful magnet to one of the remotes of these outlets and it easily sticks to the metal lamp, replacing the previous remote.I do like these remote controlled outlets, even with the front-facing receptacles, which is nothing more than a mild nuisance.I am considering buying another set, but I do want to try to get my older set working first. No sense in wasting something that could be repaired.I do recommend these. If I have any issues with this set, I will be certain to update my review. But I will also update to mention any feature I discover that suddenly impresses me.

Easy and Useful!!!
When I first got the product, I was so excited because I had some hard-to-reach lights and this product makes those lights easy to turn on and off. I also have it used for Christmas lights and for my audio system.I have not had any problems or complaints except for one thing. My one remote would suck down the battery life so quickly. I am talking roughly a week. I had been using this remote as the main remote. Then after realizing the battery drainage issue, I switched out batteries, then finally switched the remote. So, at this time the remote with the problem was used once a week and it still had the problem. This wasn't the end of the world by any means because the other remote didn't have its battery replaced since I first got the system. However, I decided I would ask customer service to see if there was anything I or them could do. They got right back to me and replaced the whole system at no charge. After about a week of use with the replacement as of 2/21/22, I have had no further issues. This company went out of its way to make sure I was happy! They even emailed me back making sure that the replacement worked. This product is easy to use and set up. You can even change which outlets respond to various buttons. This allows it to be customizable where if you have Christmas lights with various outlets, you can have one button turn them all on and off. This is easy to do too! Just hold down the button on the side of the outlet you want to change and it will blink I think. Then you press whatever button on the remote that you want to have associated with that outlet. Each outlet is numbered and that corresponds to the numbers on the remote and I think the numbers will always be tied to one another. I have noticed that to erase the learned outlet you just unplug it. Also, the range on the remote is excellent too! Finally, now that I have two units, I thought the old remote would work with the new system giving me three remotes but that is not the case. All in all, I am super happy and highly recommend this product to anyone with hard-to-reach electronics or for some simplicity! And know that the customer service is excellent too if there are any problems!

Makes Turning Lights on and off so easy
Used this at Christmas time for Christmas lights on 3 windows, plus Christmas tree. The 5th is on a permanent lamp. Kept one remote upstairs and the other downstairs. Impressed that the remote reached to up from downstairs and vice versa. It has a very long reaching range. (Had timers for other windows but these 3 needed to be checked nightly and this was the perfect solution.) Plan to plug them in various devices post-Christmas. Great product. Great price. Set up was simple. Plug in the electrical outlet. Plug the lights in. Press the on/off button. The numbering system on the remote and plugs were helpful too.
