I'm disabled and have a hard time getting off the floor, will this work?

I am not disabled but I would not be able to raise myself from the floor with the stand assist living aid. I purchased this to assist raising up from the sofa after hip surgery. I had one hip done and standing from the sofa was difficult without having something higher to push myself up with. I have future hip surgery and I know this item will work well for raising from the sofa but even without a disability I would never be able to use it from the floor.

Mostly easy to assemble. Sturdy. Good quality. Easy to move off and on of bed or couch as needed. Helpful. Practical.

Could not assemble without some alteration to the grey collars accepting the back rail. The back rail would not insert. Once fitted, the popper buttons are loose through the holes in the tubing so connections - and therefore the armrests -'wiggle' a fair bit. It feels insecure. As it comes from America, sending it back is a faff, so we are getting a handyman to work on it to rectify the issues. The idea is good, but manufacture is shoddy.
