Works exactly as advertised. Well made. Eliminates any reflections along the coax cable. Needed to add to household coax cable runs when cable router changed from using coax to Ethernet cable and cable boxes went wireless.

I don't have any high-tech gadgetry to measure their performance, but I do have Speedtest.net. I closed all the open ports on the amplifier in the attic and I noticed an average of an extra .5 to 1 Mbps of download speed instantly and throughout the day. That's not much with over 116 Mbps to begin with, but I wasn't expecting much more when I pay for 100 Mbps download. The difference in upload speed maybe went up .1 Mbps, but who knows? I pay for 10 Mbps and get between 11 and 12. At any rate, these seem really well made compared to others I've had before and they seem to work as advertised.

I don't know if these things do any good, but I read somewhere that it's important to cap off any unused open coax ends with this type of "terminator". The claim is that you'll lose some signal strength in the system with the open end exposed to the environment. I had an open end dangling behind my shop where it had been hooked up to a 5th wheel camper in years past. Since this was split off near the middle of a long cable run I decided to heed the advice I read and replace my electrical tape "terminator" with one of these official terminators. I haven't noticed any dramatic change in the signal strength, but I think the length of my cable run and the direction of the antenna outweigh the importance of these terminators in affecting my signal strength at the TVs. I still give them 5 stars since they do fit the cable end and apparently make my cable meet "best practice". It also looks classier than my black tape and probably does a better job of keeping gunk and spiders out.

Product works good, but I only received 9 and not 10 terminators.

I got these to close off unused cable outlets in my home as well sealing off outside, unused cables from an old satellite dish. Supposed to improve cable picture quality and for my outside use to protect currently unused cable from the elements. As I started for the money it's an inexpensive fix.

While purchasing some tools for coax I came across these terminators. After some research in reviews and online websites, it seemed as if these products were for the old days when Cable was much more susceptible to interference. I ended up purchasing them anyway and am glad I did. I started experiencing trouble with my cable where TV channels would be flakey and the modem would receive a substantially high number of Uncorrectables. This did NOT remedy that problem. However when the technician was out to run new cable to a few rooms and eliminate interference, I asked him about them and he strongly advised I use them. I did a test after the technician left and removed all terminators. Comes to find out, the terminators increased my signal level on Downstream by around 1-1.5dBmV. A significant change in my opinion. My signal level wasn't low per-say, however I noticed that these also correlated to a much lower number of Correctables and Uncorrectables. Give them a shot, you might be surprised.

If you have unused cable outlets, do yourself a favor and get these. These actually restore any signal degradation for having unused and any extra cable connections. I had 5 unused outlets when I moved in and my 33mb connection was only running 3.5mb/sec. After installing, I got my full bandwidth back.

So, the real deal is you need terminators on your lines you don't use or else you are going to have bad signal on the lines you do use. This is just an unfortunate fact of life. In my house, I use about 1/3 of the connectors, however, if I want to move something, I certainly don't want to call my cable company to have them change how things are and have them charge me 75 bucks for the service fee. How to get around this? Spend $6 or so, and buy some terminators and put them on the inside of your house on all unused ports. When you need to move something, move it and the terminator, all is good.

Was very nice to find I 75 on load to cap off splitters with open connections. Most people don’t realize they can lose up to half their signal but not capping off open coax.
