OEM Survival Bandana

A fine purchase.
Just last week I was lost in the woods, facing the ultimate peril of my untimely demise, when I remembered I had this dope bandana on my head. Now, here I am, writing reviews on Amazon because I'm lonely. A fine purchase.

It's okay as far as it goes, but it could have been so much more
I bought this as a gift for someone who hikes a lot, and it will make a nice stocking-stuffer. Unfortunately there is a lot of space that could have contained more useful information instead of being wasted on such advice as "Be Prepared," "Plan Ahead" and "Leave What You Find." On the other hand, it does give advice in case you are snake bit or stung by a scorpion. It tells how to locate the North Star at night, and it shows a few animal footprints and knots.

Finding north withoug a compas
Shared the bandana with other Scoutmasters. They all thought it was great. Looks like it was a different take on the old sun dial but using time and shadow to find north whereas the sun dial used north and shadow to find time. Very interesting.

Hunter Orange?
Cool concept. But not a true hunter orange. Needs to be brighter orange. It was a dull orange color. Was hoping it would stand out bright orange so I can wear hunting.

It's a bandana...
It's a nice bandana....but just know that the survival information is a bonus. I picked it up because it could do double duty in the bugout kit and for a Halloween costume. The information on there appears good, but it's a very minimal base. If you are going out into the sticks or worried about the end of days then you'll need to do a bit more research :D

Handy to have
Very nice. Only washed once so far, but printing is still clear. Good emergency information

Useful as a cloth
Decent bandana good material. Survival information is only useful to someone who's never seen a tree. Don't toutch snakes or eat plants you don't know, always tell someone where your going. Super basic stuff.Nice high vis orange is probably the most survival thing about it
