The Corrs - Unplugged

Worth every penny that was spent on this DVD. The Corrs are extremely talented and nothing showcases their talent like a live performance. One of the things I love most about them is that they are not always perfect (Caroline at the end of Runaway) but they are always professional. I loved the song choice they used for this show and I loved all the different instruments and collabrations that were used. They have never sounded better. I tried to pick a favorite song and honestly I couldn't because the whole show is awesome. I loved the show so much I bought the album version of the show as well.

I have had this album on CD for years and have always loved it. When I saw the DVD on Amazon, my initial excitement was murdered by the Region 2 format, however at least one private seller claimed to have used Region 1 inventory. I purchased it with my fingers crossed, and sure enough, a used Region 1 DVD in excellent condition showed up in my mailbox a few days later. As for the DVD, well, you all know this is the Corrs at their best and an excellent example showcasing their great talent.

This DVD presents the Corrs in a small studio, with the camera right next to them. I think it's the best "unplugged"-style video ever recorded. On a big screen at home, it's as near as you can get to seeing them live from five feet away. And what a show it is! The "acoustic" theme is crucial, since it allows each and every contribution to be easily heard. Each of the three sisters' voices are crystal-clear and all three sound wonderful. A stand-out tune is "No Frontiers". Caroline and Sharon effortlessly blend their voices with a precision seldom heard in any live performance. Jim Corr's guitar and keyboard work is perfect. And the "right there with them" string section sound is perfectly balanced. The strings add a richness unmatched in other "unplugged" performances.. This concert video BEGS to be released in Blu-ray. For now, it's DVD-quality only.

The Corrs Reunion 2015 Is Happening; New Album Confirmed! Back after being out of the spot light for numerous years, the band is reported to be performing on Sept. 13 at Hyde Park during the BBC Radio 2 Live event. According to RTE, the band is also set to release a brand new album following their reunion performance. The news about the new album has been confirmed after lead singer Andrea Corr talked about it on air. The source cited above published a transcription of an interview that some of the members attended with Chris Evans on his BBC radio 2 show. "We're in the process of making a new record, so it feels just right to do this," she said. "It's exciting." "We emerged after our lives going in different directions - babies and all that," the lead singer added. As to the details of the upcoming album, like whether they will be going a different genre this time around, we have yet to find out as news about such has yet to be updated on. The Corrs reunion 2015 is an event that would be highly anticipated by fans, as it is known that the band has been responsible for numerous hit songs during the late 90's until early 00's including "Breathless," "All the Love in the World," "Runaway," "What Can I Do" and "Summer Sunshine." Just wanted to share this exciting news, hopefully the will be another Unplugged performance in the near future!

I must have been under a rock for many years. I just recently got into "The Corrs". This DVD is an incredible example of fabulous performances by real musicians. The harmony with Sharon and Caroline together is fabulous on "No Frontiers" and their solo singing is also outstanding. This album is filled with incredible music. An incredible array of fabulous songs. Check out a few of these on YouTube searching "Corrs Unplugged" for "No Frontiers" "Little Wing" "Toss the Feathers" "Old Town" and then buy the best DVD ever. Every track is amazing.

All of the Corrs concerts and live performance DVDs are packed with great music and talent. This particular one, though obviously subdued because it is unplugged, really was a great performance for Andrea. Everyone else has a superb performance as well. It's good music!

I have watched this concert from time to time over several years and have gradually come to the conclusion that it is probably their best concert. The sound and video are beautifully done. The arrangements are spectacular. I just can't say enough good things about this concert. I would, however, suggest you get the DVD rather than the VHS tape.

I have watched this DVD several times and I enjoy it each time. The music and singing is wonderful. It is a live performance, but if you closed your eyes you would swear it was a studio recording. The Corrs are that good. I would recommend this DVD to anyone.

Wahnsinn, ich bin überwältigt. Besitze zwar einiges von den Corrs und weiß, dass sie immer sehr gute Qualität rüberbringen, sowohl künstlerisch als auch technisch. Aber das hier toppt aus meiner Sicht alles andere. Habe eine High-End Video Audio-Anlage - OPPO, ONKYO, ELAC...- und natürlich auch sowas im Repertoire wie die Referenz-SACD der Dire Straits "Brothers in Arms" (auch ein "Must have") was Surround angeht. Da kann diese Video-DVD mithalten!!! Wer gutes Surround hören will, gepaart mit excellenter Musik und Musikern, das hört man weil "unplugged" und trotzdem: Excellent!!! - der muss diese DVD kaufen. Ich bin normalerweise recht schreibfaul was Rezensionen angeht, auch, weil ich mir nicht einfach was aus den Fingern saugen will. Aber hier muss ich einfach und kann lustig drauflosschreiben, weil das dermaßen gut ist (gerade gehört und gesehen - auch optisch ein Leckerbissen) und ich Strafe verdient hätte, das nicht sofort zu loben. Viel Spaß damit!

The product came in when you have suggested it would in very good condition. I discovered The Corrs late and really enjoy there music and was happy you could provide the whole line of their music, CD & Music Video.

Love, love, love this DVD. Could listen and view all day. (sometimes I do!)

Vraiment un excellent moment de musique. Un son de très bonne qualité, avec un espace sonore aéré dans lequel on distingue bien les instruments. J'ai aussi tenté de trouver ce DVD pour la zone US pour l'offrir à un ami, mais je n'ai pas réussi. Houin !
