While it may seem strange to review something as simple as a Garlic press, I can tell you that I am a competition Chili Cook and I go through a LOT of Garlic. A good press is probably one of my most important tools considering the sheer volume of Garlic I go through in one competition season. When you purchase a garlic press though, you essentially ask it to have one function… Press your Garlic! I purchased the MiTBA Garlic press, because the industrial press I had purchased from my local restaurant supply company started falling apart. The finish on the press was starting to wear off and I was finding bits of it in my Garlic; completely unacceptable! Next, I purchased a common brand press from my local department store. Considering the $30-dollar price tag I assumed I could trust it; however, after 3 or 4 cycles in my dishwater, it literally fell apart in two separate pieces! Finally, I turned to Amazon and found the MiTBA garlic press and silicone tube peeler! The price can’t be beat and it comes with a fun garlic peeler and brush for getting those pesky bits out of the press prior to dish washing! The first thing I did was run it through my dishwasher 5 or 6 times (I ran other loads with it as well). I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t going to fall apart after the first couple of uses. It held up just fine and the stainless steel still shines like when it came out of the box. Using it is extremely simply. The large non-slip handles provide a comfortable grip and make for an effective ease of use. The garlic comes out evenly minced and you don’t have to worry about having your hands smell like garlic the rest of the day. Use the enclosed bush to scrape out every last bit of garlic and toss it in the dishwasher! The fact that it also includes the silicone tube peeler is pretty much the cherry on top. The other day I let my 5-year-old use it to roll/peel garlic as I minced other vegetables for dinner and the cloves come out perfect. Overall, I really love this and you can’t beat the price. Other presses cost more and don’t with the extras that this one does. Considering the quality and the value I can’t wait to try other MiTBA products as they clearly care about what they put forth to their customers!

It is well built and so easy to clean. I have purchased presses at twice the cost and they were not stainless steel. They were some cheap metal with chrome that made them look good but they broke. Even the "self-cleaning types were a pain to clean. This is sweet. I love it. It even has the "feel" of a well made product. The first thing that I noticed was the weight. This is NOT cheap "Pot Metal". This is an instrument of function. It FEELS substantial in your hand (like an extension of your fingers). I work with all kinds of tools frequently and you eventually learn that good tools feel comfortable in your grip, like they were meant to be there. This is a TOOL for the kitchen. The second thing I noticed was the ease of squishing the garlic. There was hardly any effort needed (I did four cloves). In fact I became absorbed in smishing garlic and I just did it for the fun of it. Of course I had to eat it all, but it was worth it ... much to the dismay of those with whom I came in contact that day. And I am adding garlic (also for health benefits) to any dish that will support the additional flavor. The third thing was the peeler. It worked like a charm... better than using the side of a knife blade to mash the clove to remove the peel. And lastly.... the cleaning was a cinch. It was more of a self-cleaner than those that advertise the "self-cleaning" gimmick. It virtually cleaned itself under running water (the peeler too). All parts are easily accessible and clean up was a breeze. I guess that you can see that I am very happy with my garlic squasher. I do not recommend products lightly.... but if you have any doubts or difficulty deciding... pick this one. I swear you will NOT be disappointed. I work hard for my money too and I like honest value in exchange for it as I am sure you do too. Trust me.... I have been cooking for myself for more than 40 years (I am working on my fourth set of 20 years...LOL)..... trust me.... you will NOT be disappointed.

The garlic press had a nice comfortable grip, and I've got a big hand, so I'm used to items not feeling comfortable. It was straightforward and simple in use, though removing the excess skin after use is a bit annoying. That's about the only complaint I have about it, cleaning the excess skin out is annoying. Otherwise, its nice and functional, doing the job without problems. The included 'skin peeler' worked smoothly, though there was one wart. It may have been due to not using extremely fresh garlic but the skin peeler would kind of mangle the garlic. It removed the skin just fine, but it would also pulp the garlic a bit as well. I'll have to try it again with some fresh garlic and see if that was the cause. But, for the most part, I'm quite pleased with the garlic press and the few annoyances are ones I can deal with. Especially when I consider the price I paid for it.

I really did not buy this for just the press I already had a cheap one what I really wanted was the roller and planned to use the press as a backup. Which meant I really didn’t look at the press that much. This tells you how much of an idiot I really am. I decided I would use the press so I could do a true review on this product. I was VERY SURPISED after use it to find it came apart somewhat for cleaning, folds out easy. At first I thought I broke it and wasn’t too happy lol. Than when I realized it came apart for cleaning I was in seventh heaven and thought wow what a great idea and felt like a total retard for not paying more attention to what I was buying lol. This is a very outstanding product that is made very well. You can tell the seller but a lot of thought into making it with the separating parts, adding the cleaning brush. What a fast cleanup I had and was able to really clean the press unlike my old one. I have now moved my old one to be the backup and use this just about every day. It is easy to hold and get a very good grip with the non-slip handles. The non-slip handle fits on the handle tight and I doubt it will ever come off, was impressed at how easy it is to squeeze and keep a hold of it which is very different than my old one. The garlic goes right in with a big chamber and does not let any slip out like my old one does. Break down for cleaning was easy and it folds right back into place easy and fast. The garlic roller is very easy to use, make sure it is dry, place garlic inside and give presser rolling it back and forward. The skin comes off very easy. Just dump shell and garlic comes out easy. Clean up is very easy. I really love it. It is the best product I have ever used and totally love it.

I finally purchased a garlic press and started using it the day we received it, our daughter talked me into making fresh salsa. The press was from MiTBA Kitchenware and it worked flawlessly, it made quick work of crushing an entire head of garlic, one piece at a time of course. The covered handles make it very comfortable to hold and to press the grips together, they also act as a barrier between your hands and cold stainless steel. The head is solid and has some heft to it, so it is not a cheap product, it also comes with a nice brush and a garlic peeler, two very helpful accessories. We are very happy with our purchase, let's just hope they keep making additional kitchen items soon. Tomorrow nights dinner will be my wife's famous garlic chicken with asparagus and what else, garlic bread. It's a great meal, just means since she's cooking I'll have to wash the dishes... At least the garlic press cleans up quickly and easily.

Solid garlic press but not dishwasher friendly. Even though this garlic press has a swing out grate it still does not get properly clean in a dishwasher; there are always bits of crushed garlic in the holes that need to be scraped out with something like a knife tip. From the product description: "CLEANING IS NO LONGER A BURDEN" -- sorry, cleaning is a burden. I've tried putting in the dishwasher in various positions to see if it's an angle thing but always the same results. I always have to clean it manually. UPDATE: the seller reached out and offered a refund without asking me to send the item back. So 5-stars for that. I will add a seller review. UPDATE 7/23 -- I threw this out. Even though I got a refund (huge thanks) they let me keep it. Even though this ended up being free I chucked it because it needs to be manually cleaned and the paint started to peel off.

This isn't my first garlic press. In using the others, they all make it easier to just chop or mash the garlic with a knife, because they were so messy, time consuming and difficult to clean. With this purchase, all that changed. First, the tube garlic peeler is also different than others tried, it actually works well. Getting the perfectly mashed garlic is easy, and then the tool opens up for easy access to any residue from the pressed garlic.. The handles are very comfortable to use. They make the effort required to press the garlic fairly easy. And, I feel, most beneficial was the ease of cleaning this gadget when I was done. It is made so that you can easily see and get to all the tiny corners that might have some garlic residue when it is cleanup time. I am very happy with this garlic press.

I hate cutting garlic. It makes my hands smell like garlic for so long, anything I cut with the knife afterwards has a garlic taste, so a garlic press really seemed like the way to go. I've used one a couple of times and wanted my own. I didn't really know what to look for, but this one looked nice, so I bought it. First, it is really easy to use. It has a nice press and definitely get a lot of garlic from the clove. I didn't have to press very hard at all. Very well designed. Second, I don't have a dishwasher and garlic presses are usually a pain to clean. This one was the easiest one I've cleaned so far. The parts come apart and make it easier to get into all the places you need to. But all the pieces are attached so nothing gets dropped or lost. Third, while aesthetics are my top priority, this does look really nice. I feel fancy when I use it. If you're looking for a garlic press, i'm into this one.

Not easy to use, wasteful and takes way too long to clean because the garlic gets mashed up in the hinges. Too many moving parts. What is the purpose of that chamber piece that swings around?! I contacted the seller three times for a refund but did not receive the courtesy of a reply. Miserable customer service.

Solid build but as with many other garlic presses that I have tried, the plunger does not fit snugly in the receptacle so garlic squeezes out through the sides. Significant wastage. This is a fail.
