Solar Panel for Outdoor Security Camera,White

First, I bought one to see if it was worth the money, I figured if it didn't work out, I'd try a different one the next time. It was solid. I live in the Northwest cloudy all the time it held a charge even during the darkest of weeks. It does not need direct sunlight to charge as well. Then I bought a second one rock solid. Then I bought a third one still no problems might be on my way to getting a 4th. Definitely recommend.

I tried using my camera without this and had to recharge the batter within 2 weeks which is annoying as I have to climb a ladder to dismantle it and get battery to charge. I got the solar charger and attached it a couple of months ago and have not had to do any more charging of the battery. It's great! It is big though so not so great on the curb appeal.

I have had this for a couple Years now and love it. I have Only had to adjust it a handful of times to make sure it’s getting sun but have otherwise been able to let it be. It keeps my camera charged and I have Yet to have to switch the battery. It was relatively easy to install and has been worth the money. About the size of a kindle. It’s not really shielded from the elements and has held up remarkably well.

We've been a Simplisafe customer since 2018. Recently I purchased an outdoor camera and this solar panel. The panel stopped working very shortly after being put into production. 90 days in, I spoke with Simplisafe about this ... trying to get an RMA for this panel. Their answer? As you can see in the screenshot, 60 days ... period. They only guarantee their stuff for 60 days. Their warranty information says the following, "Customers who subscribe to the Standard Monitoring or Self Monitoring with Camera Recordings plan before their original hardware warranty expires qualify for up to a 2-year extension on this hardware warranty—giving them a total of up to a 3-year warranty as long as their subscription remains uninterrupted during that time." This is apparently untrue. Don't bother with this, folks. You'll regret it.

This product seems to do exactly what it claims it would do. We bought the SSafe outdoor camera and the battery died in 36 hours (little use). SSafe replaced it under warranty, and the replacement depleted 25% of the battery in a week. Neither were close to the three month battery life claimed by SSafe. We installed this panel and it has, so far, kept the battery at 100% all day. In the morning the battery is between 93% & 96%. By mid-morning the battery is back to 100% and remains there the balance of the day. Negatives? The mounting bracket is pretty flimsy. Once positioned only the friction of the mount hinges keep it in place. Given the Borean blasts common in the northern plains, it'll be interesting to see if it remains in position. Our other concern is the panel's performance in the winter. Below freezing and even weeks of sub-zero temperatures are common in these parts. How will it perform then? Overall, we're pleased with the product and its performance

Exactly as described. I tried the battery charge and it didnt lasted a week with all the motion that my camera gets. With this panel I never have to worry about a dead battery. Ive been using it for months now and I have never gotten a low battery notification. Set up was extremely easy

This solar panel works great charging my SimpliSafe outdoor camera. It was easy to install with the directions provided. It charges and keeps my camera at 100%. This Solar Panel is definitely worth the money.

The batteries that come with the SimpliSafe outdoor cameras just drain way too fast. These are a bit expensive but holy cow do they work. I went from 68% battery to 100% in an hour with VERY LITTLE direct sunlight. Ever since it’s been at a steady 100% meaning I basically never need to worry about it again. Works much better than expected. Bought another one for my other camera that had better battery life just cuz it’s so convenient.
