The land of Welkin is in trouble! Not only is it at risk of flood, but now the rat hordes are on the move, fighting to gain dominance over the other animals.... Sylver's search for the elusive humans - their only hope - leads him and his intrepid band of weasels to an enormous ruined castle, deep in the heart of the bleak flatlands of Darkmoor. Here he meets Clive of Coldkettle, the leader of the red squirrels - who are in a state of permanent war with the grey squirrels. Can Sylver suceed in his quest whilst caught in the midst of such a savage conflict? Review: AWESOME BOOKS - Welkin Weasels very well done story , they are not weasels , you start thinking they are people, once you start reading you just want to keep going , i recommend this book to all readers who want to sit down and enter the wonderful world of weasels, Review: Really fun fantasy, read it if you love knights and monsters - This is my favourite in the medieval trilogy. I loved reading about the squirrels town and way of life, and the monster that causes some havoc is epic. No spoilers but Falshed goes through some growth here which is great.

Book 2
As far as stories go on their own, this one was okay. It took a long time to get going and when it finally did it just ended suddenly...but I guess that's why there's a third one. It was still a great read and funny like the first one.
