Yes, as it shows the strength of the remaining energy of the batteryI think the voltmeter does that also but this is so much better to use.

How do you test 2032 battery with this is doesnt show how to in the instructions

In the large circular opening , press the 2032 battery {negative side down{ till you hear it snap in. Now you will get your reading.
