Medical Line Pocket Med Insert

I'm really liking this medical insert from Helikon-tex. It can absolutely be kept in a large cargo pocket although it's a bit tall for that. Alternatively it'll also work spectacularly in a bag what with it's minimal foot print. Although something that needs to be said about this product is it's intended mainly to function as a comprehensive boo boo kit so if you're looking for something that will function more along the lines of a trauma kit you'll want to look at something else. But that being said it does what it is designed to do very well. You can get quite a few basic first aid items inside of it to tackle virtually every minor injury a person can have. However you will need to invest in some individual packets of things such as antibiotic ointment and painkillers for it. One final thing that I will say about this product is that the so-called reflective material on the front of it doesn't appear to be terribly reflective from what I'm able to see.

First off it was smaller that I anticipated, one it was small but thought a tad bigger but anyway besides that it can hold a decent amount and is great for a ifak. Definitely being used for my EDC supplies

Perfect pocket size pouch for a edc med kit. Good quality. It is small enough for Jean pocket or even cargo pants pocket like in the video.

This product is well designed for its intended purpose. It is not designed as a carrier for full first aid kit, it does provide ample storage for a minor first aid kit. I was able to store a couple of 5x5 pads, a couple of 3x3 pads, a length of cling warp to secure these pads, a half dozen band aids, a pair of nitrile gloves, and several packets of alcohol wipes. With these contents the thickness is about 1/2". The size is such it will easily go into a cargo pants pocket or coat pocket.

Don't buy this expecting to use it for a trauma kit. This pouch is perfect for a smaller booboo kit. I was able to fit several badaids, gauze, and medications and still had room left over. My small bandage scissors fit snugly and securely in the slot on the back and my emergency contact info fit in the front plastic sleeve. If you carry a paper print out for your information it may be too thick. Mine was snug with 2 cards in it. The construction and material of the pouch is great. I'm sure it will hold up fine like my other Helikon-tex products. Overall this a great pouch to throw in a cargo pocket, backpack, or glove box.

I wear cargo pants to work on a daily basis. I put all the things that would normally go in my wallet in this plus a spare flashlight battery, box cutter, everyday meds (Tylenol, acid reducer etc.) and even a spare magazine for a Beretta Pico. It's very thin, but will expand to whatever you place inside it. I bought two thinking I would put one in each cargo pocket, but it holds so much the second one isn't necessary.

I love this. It rides in my backpack for EDC. It isn't large, so not even a SWAT tourniquet fits. But I have gloves, EMS shears, basic first-aid equipment. It looks cool, too. Made a red handle for it by wrapping the handle with red electrical tape.

Das Helikon Tex Pocket Med Insert war für ein Basis Erste Hilfe Set gedacht und genau das passt auch perfekt rein. Der Aufbau ist einfach: Vorne ein Klarsichtfach für einen Ausweis, dahinter ein kleiner, nicht verschließbarer Einschub. Im mit Velcro verschlossenen Hauptfach befinden sich auf jeder Seite zwei große Einschübe, davor jeweils zwei schmale Einschübe. Am Boden des Inserts sind zwei Gummischlaufen, an der Seite ist ebenfalls noch eine Gummischlaufe angebracht. Auf der Rückseite befindet sich ein schmaler, mit Velcroband gesicherter Einschub. Zum Transport und "aus dem Rucksack ziehen", hat das Insert noch einen gummierten Griff (Schrumpfschlauch). Als das Insert ankam und flach vor mir lag, dachte ich, OK, das wird wohl nichts mit einem 1st Aid Basiskit, aber es funktioniert tatsächlich. Im Organizer befinden sich 1x Nitrilhandschuhe im aufgesetzten Einschub, im inneren auf der einen Seite 2x Kompresse, 2x Mullbinde, gegenüber 1x Rettungsdecke, 1x Dreieckstuch, davor 1x Pflasterset, 1x Beatmungsmaske, hinten 1x kleine Verbandschere und damit ist das komplette Set untergebracht. Der Organizer bläht sich dann ganz schön auf, für die Hosentasche oder Beintasche ist das nichts mehr, er lässt sich allerdings problemlos schließen, nichts steht unter Spannung und es wurde tatsächlich noch ein wenig mehr reingehen. Wer möchte, kann z. B. die Gummischlaufen für Taschenlampe, Kugelschreiber, etc. nutzen. Der Organizer öffnet wie ein Trifold Wallet, alles liegt im Fall der Fälle organisiert und übersichtlich vor einem. Das beste 1st Aid Kit bringt nichts, wenn man es nicht mitnimmt, mit dem Med Insert habe ich jetzt ein wirklich kompaktes, kleines Set, das im Rucksack nicht stört und bei passender Hose gerade noch in die Beintasche passt. Über die Qualität muß ich nicht groß was sagen, wie für Helikon Tex typisch, wirklich großartig.
