A must read on ADHD
ADHD 2.0 is the revised version of the classic Driven to distraction. Written by Dr Hallowell and Dr Ratey, of which both have ADHD. It provides practical insights for tackling ADHD with the lastest findings and research. A must read for those with ADHD or their close ones.

General info. Don't waste time & money on this.
Very little non-medication solutions to put into action at the end of the day. They seem to favor drugs as solution arguing that beyond the side effects there are benefits but drug users report that they seem to lose their personality though symptoms seem to reduce. What's the point then?

The paperback I've received is not an original. The cover is very clearly misaligned, and the back cover text is a bit fuzzy. The pages inside are super thin, ink from multiple pages is visible in the background of the page I'm trying to read.

Easy to read, different perspective on ADHD

Sehr guter und umfassender Einstieg in das Thema ADHS
TOP. habe das Hörbuch in zwei Gassi-Sessions verschlungen, also "nur" gehört und noch nicht gelesen. Leider gibt es das nicht auf Deutsch, somit kann ich es seltener weiterempfehlen, es sei denn, die engl. Sprache ist kein Problem. Es ist kurzweilig und mir persönlich hat der Inhalt sehr geholfen. Es deckt alles ab und bietet auch ein paar Strategien an, es gibt Beispiele aus dem Leben und ist nicht einfach eine trockene Fachlektüre. Wer einen sehr umfassenden ersten Rundblick bekommen möchte, dem kann ich das Buch/Hörbuch nur wärmstens empfehlen. Edward (Ned) Hallowell, M.D. kann man z.B. auch auf YouTube anschauen, und wer noch tiefer in das Thema eintauchen will oder muss, für den gibt es dann im nächsten Schritt Foren und andere Autoren ... und hoffentlich fähige Ärzte und Therapeuten.

Think differently about ADHD
I've been living with an ADD/ADHD diagnosis for 4 freaking decades yet this book was a revelation to me. The magic words that allowed so many disparate thought to coalesce were 'you have a race car engine of a brain with the brakes of a bicycle'. Hit me like a 2x4 to the head. Read it to my wife and her reaction was 'duh' with a mild giggle. Learn about how your metacognition is a tremendous asset, how the switching in your brain really is glitchy and what to do about it. Well worth reading for how to improve your cerebellum to ease emotional regulation.

Un libro illuminante! Finalmente un approccio chiaro e umano all’ADHD, che va oltre i soliti stereotipi. Gli autori spiegano con semplicità come funziona il cervello ADHD e offrono strategie pratiche per migliorare concentrazione, produttività e autostima. Mi è piaciuto tantissimo il tono positivo e incoraggiante: invece di trattarlo come un “problema”, mostrano come possa essere una dote da imparare a gestire. Lo consiglio a chiunque voglia capire meglio sé stesso o una persona vicina che vive con l’ADHD.
