These are a set of lockable casters, 4 per package, with large diameter wheels. The wheels have high durometer plastic tires. Fasteners of a 1" length are included for installing the casters onto a metal platform or wood. I picked these up to install on a pair of Sealey automotive 2-post vehicle dollies. The dollies originally had smaller diameter wheels that would get hung up on concrete expansion joints during movement, so these casters with larger diameter wheels were substituted. The new casters are very smooth and roll across rough concrete well. The original casters had antiquated locking systems that were difficult to use, these newer casters have locks that are much easier to manipulate. The additional diameter of the wheels will provide nearly 2 additional inches of vertical height, which was sorely needed. Amazon (Rufus?) states that this is a frequently returned item. I would imagine a major reason for the high return rate is a somewhat unorthodox bolt pattern on the attachment flange. The bolt pattern matched my equipment in one dimension, but not another. This was solved by simply drilling two additional holes per caster, and using the original attachment hardware. All that would be required to do this is a suitable hand-held drill motor, some machine oil (to preserve the sharpness of the drill bit), and a suitable diameter bit. I used one of the cheaper bits in my toolbox, and it cut fine...the steel is durable but not exactly German quality, this is not an impossible task. The manufacturer makes it very clear what the dimensions and bolt pattern of the product is, so it would pay to become familiar prior to purchase to ensure it will work for your application. Finally, these are fine just the way they are, but it will take some time to evaluate their longevity. Some wheels with similar plastic tires on other equipment have disintegrated from exposure to temperature and sunlight, only time will tell if these do the same or are more durable. Updates to follow if something occurs.

Reasonable pricing. Excellent construction. Easy to install with both screws as well as nuts & bolts within package. Screws might be a bit small depending upon use. Rolls easily and locks and guarantees no movement. Would definitely purchase again.

Used them to make a chart so I could load a 800+ lbs shop machine from the shop floor, up the ramp into a moving truck, and back down into its new location (after moving across the country). They worked great and took all the abuse.

I bought these 3" swivel caster wheels for a workbench, but now I’m questioning whether I should put them on everything I own. My couch? My fridge? My mother-in-law’s recliner? The possibilities are endless and slightly dangerous. First off, these things glide smoother than a buttered penguin on a Slip ‘N Slide. I loaded up a cart with tools, wood, and possibly a raccoon (unconfirmed), and it still moved with the grace of a ballerina with power steering. I’ve pushed heavier loads than my will to do yardwork — these wheels didn’t even flinch. The brakes? Oh baby. Click — locked tighter than my pants after Thanksgiving dinner. No wiggling, no drifting, no “Oops, it rolled into traffic again.” Once they’re locked, that cart is going nowhere, unless it’s being abducted by aliens or hit by a forklift (don’t ask). And can we talk about the included hardware? It’s like they knew I’d want to put these on literally everything. Bolts, screws, washers — all included like a helpful little caster buffet. I had them installed in minutes. Honestly, I spent more time admiring how good they looked than actually putting them on. In short: these casters are smooth, strong, stop-on-a-dime stable, and come ready for action. If you’re still dragging furniture around like it’s the Middle Ages, stop. Upgrade. Swivel your way to greatness.

To me, giving 5 stars represents perfection and 99.9% of products sold today DO NOT meet this category. However when these arrived and I checked them out, I would highly recommend them to anyone. I bought them to make a dolly to roll my inflatable boat around on, but these could roll my 1 ton truck around. They are incredibly well made and even have real solid brakes on them to lock them in place. I couldn't ask for better. I installed them on a wood platform to move things around and they are GREAT!!! Not only are the wheels of excellent quality, but they come with bolts, nuts and washers/ as well as wood screws (#3 Robertson head) perfect for 3/4 inch plywood.

The plate was too big for my sofa and I’m bummed because these look great and feel beyond sturdy. I need to return them
