What’s better Phenolic Voice Coil or titanium horns

Dear Buyer, It's not that one is better than the other, it's about the design requirements, the Titanium is a brighter sound going up to the upper reaches of what the human ear can hear, as an example, if you look at the technical details on our website for the D280Ti-S which is a similar driver with a Titanium diaphragm, it's response is: 1,300-20,000Hz whereas, the Phenolic WG270Ph has a smoother response rated from 600-8,000Hz it goes a little lower but doesn't go up as high. Regards, PRV AUDIO Group

what is the little battery?

It's not a battery, it's a capacitor, it goes inline on either the positive side between the speaker and the amplifier, it rolls off the lower frequencies to help protect the speaker, we still suggest the use of active crossovers and separate amplifiers for speakers.

Do I need a compacitor?

You don't need a capacitor but, you do need to protect that driver, make sure the signal is crossed over at HPF-500Hz@ 12dB/octave and don't drive the amplifier into distortion!
