After adding this "pvp" to my formula it turned my recipe into milk. Usually PVP is a white salt-like crystal. This chemical is a yellowish fine powder and doesn't act as a thickener at all. I knew there was a problem when adding it to water, the water did not become viscous at all. Like I said my solution became very liquid after adding this brand of PVP. Beware, If your PVP isn't crystalline like salt don't use it.

I add this into 90% medical alcohol and use it as adhesive for 3D printing. It worked great.

I was confused by the other review: it is a yellowish pale powder, but this is what pvp looks like. Based on my tests, it appears to be pvp.
