Reliable and Seamless Storage Expansion for Xbox Series X|S – Excellent Performance
I’ve been using the Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S (2TB) for two years, and it has been a fantastic addition to my setup. The plug-and-play functionality is seamless—installation is as simple as inserting it into the designated slot, and the Xbox recognises it instantly. It integrates perfectly, offering the same lightning-fast load times as the internal SSD and effortlessly handling all Series X|S titles. The 2TB of added storage has saved me from constantly juggling space, letting me keep a large library of games ready to play. The sleek, compact design fits snugly into the back of the console without adding clutter, and the build quality feels solid and durable. It’s completely silent, with no noise or excess heat even after long gaming sessions. Brought it in 2023 and it still performs flawlessly, with no issues of data loss or performance dips. While it’s a significant investment, the convenience, reliability, and performance make it absolutely worth it for serious gamers looking to expand their storage.

Expensive, but a must have.
Added to the price of a Series X, certainly makes this HDD purchase a gut punch. Yet with the console only having around 800GB of usable storage it is a must have. AAA games tend to be over150GB these days and are only growing, meaning extra storage will be needed unless you want to delete a game, to download a new game. The HDD itself is small and lightweight, and the connectivity is extremely easy, with it only allowing seating in the correct aspect. It is plug and play, so there's no software to install. The transfer speeds are around the 4Gb per second, which makes moving games from internal to external drives very fast and easy. Any game or app which you run from this drive, runs just as well as the internal drive with no speed, load time or crashing issues. The drive casing is plastic and does feel a little cheap, but it is inserted in to the back of Xbox and then left alone, so I don't see this being an issue. Especially as it's the chip quality that counts.

Great drive, super expensive though!
Received my 2TB expansion card today. Pros: 1. Bumps my total X/S storage up to 3TB from 1TB (1TB internal + 2TB expansion card). Allows me to store and launch Xbox Series X/S enhanced games without having to transfer them continuously between USB drives and internal storage (or having to uninstall games). I still use my USB hard drives to store my library of non-enhanced games. 2. Very very very fast read/write speeds. Mimicks internal storage performance. 3. All I needed to do was plug it in and it worked straight out of the box. It’s also hot swappable. Cons: PRICE. PRICE. PRICE. This thing is CRAZY EXPENSIVE. Was it worth it? For me, yes. While it’s dented my wallet quite significantly it allows me to store and launch substantially more X/S enhanced games and since, going forward, newer games will also require the faster storage USB drives are gradually becoming deprecated. Their only use really is for older games. Unless you want to constantly have to move games between USB and internal (a time consuming pain in the bum) consider investing in one of these drives. They’re backed by a 3 year manufacturer warranty as well. Divide £367.59 by 36 and it works out at roughly £10 a month. And that’s not factoring in that, realistically, it’ll continue to last way past the warranty period so realistically it’s probably less. Should you buy one? Well that’s entirely up to you. If you’re able to afford one and don’t like having to uninstall or transfer games between slower USB drives and internal storage (which is slow because of the USB drives limited read/write speeds) then go for it. There are 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB options to suit your needs. The 2TB one, while the larger investment, actually offers the cheapest solution of the three. Effectively you’re paying less per gigabyte than with the other 2 cards.

Fast. Expensive.
Does what it's supposed to. Adds an extra 2tb drive at internal speeds. Hideously expensive for what it is. Gets very hot. And an awkward extra thing poking out the back of xbox. If you absolutely need more storage for series apps then it's the only way to go. But was never going to get more than 4 stars due to cost.

Does the job it's designed for.
Does it's job. Simple to connect. Lots of extra storage space for the games and immediate play. You also have the option of keeping it in the same console or swapping it around. Can't fault it. I have one for each console and they've never missed a beat.

VERY fast, VERY easy to use. ONLY downside is the cost.
The Seagate Expansion Card is a brilliant product with the ONLY downside being the cost. The Xbox Series X is a superb console but with a weak point. It only comes with about 800Mb of usable internal storage. In the past that would be plenty but with modern games often needing over 100Gb, you can easily find yourself running out of space. Now add into the mix a family that all like to play different types games and a xbox Game Pass or Ultimate (which we have) and the situation soon becomes desperate. The only way around the problem (short of deleteing games along with open familily warfare) is to go for additional storage. That just leaves the question of which storage to go for..... Low cost - buy an external 2TB HDD and plan WAY in advance which games you want to run off the internal memory. Also get used to moving games between the internal and external storage and for that to take ages and ages and ages. If running from the external storage then some games can have reduced features. Somewhat Expensive - buy an external 2TB SSD and plan in little bit in advance which games you want to run off the internal memory. You will still have to move games between the internal and external but at least you dont need a calander to know when it should be ready. If running from the external storage then some games can have reduced features. Expensive or Very Expensive - buy A Seagate 1TB or 2TB Expansion card, stick it in and carry on as normal. As the Xbox only has a ONE expansion slot I chose the 2TB card over the 1TB. The reason being is that its size gives us plenty of storage to seamlessly save, load and play all the families games without having to shuffles which ones are stored where.

Trued and tested make.
I have an Xbox series X with a 1gb internal hard drive. I have 2 x 1gb seagate storage expansion cards and 1x 8gb external hard drive. Some may say that’s too much, but the new games require such high memory. I use the 1gb internal hard drive and a 1gb external storage card for newer games. I have a 8gb separate hard drive for older games, and another 1gb external expansion card specifically for all the call of duty games. Some may say that’s too much, but it’s heat needed because the newer games require such a high memory capacity. I have 2 Xbox series x consoles for different rooms in my house. All the expansion and hard drives are made by Seagate. A make and company I’ve used for years. They are not necessarily the headset, but they are a trued and tested make for my consoles. I highly recommend them to anyone needing expansion memory for whatever xbox you own. To add further, I even have the same make for an external hard drive for my PC. They have never failed or broken gown in me and I use them a lot. The make may not be the cheapest in the market, but it’s a tried and tested make inhighly recommend to anyone.

Ottimo
Scheda di memoria acquistata a gennaio 25. Ottimo articolo.

Impeccable ! (Extension mémoire SSD officielle Xbox Série X 1 TO)
