Replaced a 25 year old Aube floor thermostat that was still working
When I installed my floor heating system 25 years ago it came with a 120V timer control and 120V thermostat. I had to provide two electrical boxes one for each, but when the timer died rather than replace it with another timer I just upgraded the existing Aube thermostat to this one. Like this one SO much better as it's easier to program and works better IMO than the old one. The four schedule changes per day and 7 day a week programming gives us great flexibility to meet our floor heating needs. It's been cold this winter so having the floor start at 6AM makes for an enjoyable get out of bed experience. Cover plate for old timer box in pictures.

Use A Control Circuit And A Contactor
This is a nice device. It’s been in use for some time now. I’ve installed so many similar devices like this that have “rated" contacts. Many burn up over time and need to be replaced. In my opinion, with the cost of these devices, it’s well worth it to use a control circuit and contactor. It’s much cheaper and easier to replace a definite purpose contactor (if, or when it goes bad), than it is to replace and reprogram a thermostat.

works great for our studio, finally have a steady temp!
We bought this thermostat because I installed two similar models in our house and they worked wonderfully. I also wanted the thermostats to match. All of our heating is forced air (fan) electric wall units. We have a 110 and 220v heater in our house, and the studio has a 110v. This model installed easily and works perfectly. I don't mind that there is only one "home" temp and one "away" temp. These settings meet our needs. When we leave for a weekend or vacation we simply switch to the "away" mode, which is a 3rd temp, but will hold the temp until you return even if there is a normal schedule change. Works perfectly with our Cadet forced air wall heaters. The 15 minute on/off cycle is ideal for fan-based heaters. Also, the backlight and clean design are a wonderful bonus. We've never had a problem with our other thermostats like this one, and we've had them for years!

Bringing intelligence to simple electric heaters!
Paired with a Qmark Toe Kick heater, these two devices have been game changers for my master bathroom, which is unfortunately located above my garage and contains a lot of tile that does a good job of re-radiating the cold in the winter. The Aube allows me to set the program for the heater across seven days and four dayparts - ensuring the room is warm when I want it to be and not wasting electricity when we're not using it. My only complaint is that the programming is not as intuitive as it might be. The manual does a decent job of explaining it - but you'll probably need to refer to the manual again in the future (at least I did) to remember what you did. It does a good job and I'd buy it again.

Works well, a little funky to program
I'm using this to run a wall panel heater. It was easy to install and works well, but the set-up is a little confusing. You have four times that you can set temperatures for. You can adjust the times and the temperature for each time, but they are on different screens and require a series of steps that isn't very intuitive at first. PSA - make sure to install at least an inch away from any trim, as the right and left hand corners pivot out to reveal the controlling buttons. At first I had this installed too close to a piece of trim and the door wouldn't open sufficiently to push the buttons. For most this probably won't be a problem.

Great product,Great price
This Thermostat works just as i wanted. Easy to hook-up with supplied directions. I hooked it to my in floor electric heating mats, have it programmed to start warming my tile bathroom floor 2 hrs before i get up and i have it stop when we usually go to bed. This is the same as the honeywell that you buy at home depot, just cost less. Other than the printed name on the unit they are the same. 2 flaps on the sides keep all the buttons hidden (and man there are a lot of buttons) so the unit looks sleek and modern. Highly recommend the product.

Super product for your heated bathroom floor
Read up on this product which also sells for about half as much as others in the store (Menards) yet, does more than twice as much. Easy to wire up and the programmablity is fairly straight forward. Gives up time-date- current floor temp and then you can adjust for new temp. Unit will indicate when its 'on' and the numbers/letters are big enough to read for us older guys. I also like the foldout panels which stores more buttons to operate, yet they 'disappear' when the panels are closed making for a 'clean looking' unit. Very pleased with the purchase.

Not for electric baseboard heaters.
Purchased to replace existing baseboard thermostat. Worked for about 45 minutes, then crapped out. I bought 2 and the second unit behaved the same way. Do not recommend this for electric baseboard heaters as advertised.

I used this product to replace an older unit that stopped working. It was easy to figure out how to do it and the manual was helpful. Just review the dip switch settings. They can be a bit confusing but a little research fixed that in no time.
