Is it safe to use on silver with gemstones?

I have used it on silver w/turquoise stones & other gemstones,but I put a small amount in a plastic cup,put the jewelry into the cup & swirl it around til the silver is shiny. Then I take the item(s) out & rinse them off under warm water & lay them on a towel & blot dry. It hasn't hurt anything so far. I do use it on my gold jewelry in the same way. It certainly enhances the beauty of my engagement ring! Just don't let it sit & soak.

I've just purchased a set of antique, silver plated flatware in need of a cleaning. Would this or the Goddard's foam be better suited for that?

Although the foam may give you a better shine over the long haul, the liquid is unbeatable when you need to clean a piece quickly. Great for silver chains! I've used this product for years and would not be without it.

If you put this in a container for dipping how do you dispose of it afterwards?

I just dip the pieces in the original container until there is no more liquid left. It last a long time, and when there is not enough liquid let to dip into, I run water in the container, dump it down sink, and recycle the jar.

This stuff is great! Just dip and rinse your sterling in the solution. Gets in all the cracks and crevices. Take you're silver cloth to the item to get a high lustre. So easy, no scrubbing needed. I have used this for years and then could not located in my regular stores. Was down to the last 1/2 ounce when I located it on Amazon.
