I started using these baking strips the same time I started using a new set of cake pans, so when my cakes FINALLY came out flat I wasn't sure if it was from the pans or the strips. Well, I forgot to use the strips on some cakes I recently made, and they were domed again! I'm now 100% convinced that it was the strips that kept my cakes flat, and I couldn't recommend them more. If you're tired of feeling like you're wasting perfectly good cake as you cut off the domed tops (although they weren't actually "wasted," as my husband and I just snacked on the extras, ha ha!) get these!! I've used them on both 9 inch and 6 inch pans, and they'd probably work from about 4 inch to 11 inch sizes. Just soak them in water (or simply run water over them) for a minute or so, wrap and secure around your pan, fill with batter, bake, and enjoy all the extra time you saved not having to cut off tops and clean up the crumbs, (not to mention having taller cakes). Highly recommend! BTW- I haven't tried these on square/rectangle pans, but they're flexible enough that I don't see why you couldn't use them on those, too.

These strips really work. I can now make cakes without the raised center that makes it difficult to frost. They are a bit difficult to put on the pan but well worth the effort. I love these strips. I've attached a picture of the results.
